Also when is it best to switch to ulmb mode instead of g sync mode?
Most recommend ULMB when you're constantly hitting the GSYNC frame limit be it 120 or 144fps. Personally I find it a little too dark despite the amazing motion clarity.
Ulmb only works up to 120hz, iirc it's operating ranges is 85/100/120hz so to enable it you'd have to drop to 120hz, generally people will disable vsync for ulmb. I believe it's target audience is fps players.
With gsync enabled you'll still get the ultra smooth responsive experience with no screen tear even if hitting the frame limit of gsync/refresh.
Some of the guys who use ulmb will be able to explain in greater depths then I can about its perks.
For me, gsync is on all the time at 144hz except for 3d
Anyone else finding themselves getting a headache and eye fatigue when using this monitor. Maybe I'm just not used to it yet.
Yer, I am also getting a headache but that is from the wife nagging me to stop gaming and pay her some attention
Has to be 2560x1440@120hz for 3dvision to work
You will also need to manually disbable gsync and probably ulmb as the monitor defaults to ulmb when switched to 120hz
Enjoying it?
Right you 'orrible lot of Maxwell swift owners....
DSR...
Does DSR work fine with Gsync enabled? As I'm readying funds to ***** on some 8GB maxwell cards in the near future, this would be the cherry on top.
The swift + DSR should do 4x DSR so a tasty 5120x2880, hell, the Acer 4K will do 7680x4320! SO many pixels to push but it should make older and less demanding titles look super sharp.
