Wages and the worlds worst sponsorship deals. We also seemed to pay loads on agent fees when doing transfers. We spent £3,092,891 between Oct 2011-Sep 2012, but 10 other teams, many of whom bought and sold more players spent less.

what's the capacity of Goodison? 40k? Surely that should give Everton plenty of gate receipts assuming its mostly full each match?

Everton rarely sell out but more crucially, they don't have many boxes/premium seats (nor the demand for them tbf).

For all the talk about Moyes not spending any money, relative to their size and income, Everton spend a lot on wages and that's the killer for them.

Everton prides itself on acquiring and nurturing genuine partnerships and true friendships. Central to developing this is an understanding of our partners’ businesses followed by a commitment to meeting objectives.

Most prominent of our partnerships is the shirt sponsorship deal with Thai Bev through its ‘Chang Beer’ brand, the most lucrative sponsorship deal in the Club’s history and the longest in the Premier League.

Hahahahaha :D

£4m a season. :o Runs out in end of next season, though it'll probably just get extended like it has done the 4 previous times.

How to photographers get access to City's training ground so easily? Whenever there's some kind of bust up (usually involving Balotelli) at City it's all over the press. I'm sure these types of things happen at every other training ground but we rarely hear or see anything of it.

There's a public footpath along the perimeter which I believe City have unsuccessfully tried to get closed.

I think there's a public footpath right next to their training ground. They're just unlucky in that regard, but I'm sure it'll be sorted when they have their new complex up and running.

Why don't they put some sort of wall, fence or hedging up on their side of the boundary?
