You can either connect via the via app or via your server browser.

Any problems I will be online this evening for some BF4 and I'll sort you out.

Chippy(Flash) has server admin rights so he can also help sort things out.

We'll give it a trail run for a couple of weeks to test the quality on a heavily populated server night and see what people opinions are as to if we keep using it or not. If we decided it's a go-er I will end the subscription for TS3.

The netcode in this game is completely buggered (intentionally or not). I've been having some weird lag issues ever since I first started playing the game. It's not normal lag, but more like everything is out of sync, as if I was seeing everything a good 500ms or so later than every one else.

The main symptom of this was that other players would seem to have rediculously good reactions, killing me pretty much on sight and with ridiculous efficiency. This wasn't just the odd player here and there (which is perfectly normal), but the vast majority of players, even crappy players with rubbish KD ratios were getting the upper hand on me. I'm not the best player in the world, but I've been playing BF since the golden days of BF2 and I generally hover in the 2 to 3 K/D ratio, but in BF4 I was just getting decimated. I couldn't figure out why as my internet connection was quite good (Sky 40mb/10mb) and I got 5 to 10 ms pings on most British servers. I did read up on the netcode issues in BF3/4 and problems other people were having, but apart from that I genuinely thought I was just not that good anymore and had lost my edge. :(

Anyway, recently I decided to change my ISP from Sky Fibre to BT Infinity 2 for other reasons. Had not played BF4 in a fair bit so decided to fire it up the other night and was absolutely shocked at what I was experiencing. Everything was the same apart from the fact every player I came across was way easier to kill. Its like I had a second of buffer or something before they started shooting. I genuinely felt like I was using hacks. This was on the same servers I've always played on and the only thing I changed was my ISP and probably the latest patch. Funny thing was my ping had now increased by at least 10ms.

Has anyone experienced anything similar or is this just a massive coincidence? Either way, I feel somewhat vindicated and the game is a lot more fun now. :p

I'm on BT and it feels like the first bit you are describing to me :( and always has - as can be seen from some of the videos I've posted I get all kinds of out of sync **** and when my ping is below ~20ms or so (usually 5-10ms) feels like players with latency much above mine are like 500ms ahead of me :S

I've been saying for awhile I'm pretty sure the game is bugged if you are on a very low ping and incorrectly extrapolating/interpolating, processing event history reconciliation, etc. - I'm guessing as a new BT customer you are currently setup with interleaving on - once your line settles down your ping will probably drop and you might find the same thing creeps back in again.

EDIT: I don't know if there is more to it than just that - but I certainly know what you are talking about.

Any of you chaps got a list of Favorited servers? (I only have Digital Deluxe version so will need to be vanilla maps)

I will be closing the TS down at the end of this month, I'm not sure the exact date the TS will stop connection.

Big thanks to everyone who has used it in the past 10 months. Myself and the BF4 crowd have started to use the Discord App which is a free and much better alternative to TS. The UI is better, the permissions are more user friendly and it's free. This means you can setup as may servers as you want and run them how you chose. I don't believe there is a limit of users either.

Once again thanks to all who contributed towards the running of the server.

Yeah no problems mate, was only ment to be a short term solution but ended up being a big longer haha

Yeah Discord is much better, more like a mini social media app is some ways.

You defo need to get a decent gaming laptop for the interim peroid before 'Murica.
 
If only I could afford it :( Moving is expensive! I may be able to play commander on my wife's laptop using onboard graphics lol.
 
Oh didn't realise the Aussie left in 5 days, for some reason I had November in my head for when he actually leaves.

Cancel me posts then, when will you be up and running stateside? With your mega fast interwebz speed there you will still be able to game with us, time differences depending.
