The Battlefield 4 Thread 2015

I've a dilemma. Do I take rig apart and start the WC now I've just received the last piece of the build in the post. Or do I wait till tomorrow and enjoy Friday night bf sesh?

I would wait. It generally takes me a whole day to take apart a rig and put it back together again. If you get problems it can obviously take longer.

"oi female, I'm gaming tonight and building my pc over the weekend, don't speak to me unless to other me food and/or beer - good day to you"

Goooood. I'm rather looking forward to tonight now.

Weekend build it is then. Will be on from 8, taking the malt down to Bournemouth for the day so buttering her up for bf tonight and taking pc apart building etc the weekend lol.

There is stuff that you can do now though, like cleaning out the radiators. If the new ones are anything like the old one's you need to give them a really good clean to prevent crap getting in your loop. Personally I would be setting up as much as humanly possible (I usually take over the kitchen) so when you wake up tomorrow a little hung over you are 100% really to roll.

Installed again yesterday to play with some friends, 18 months since I last touched it.

Reg seemed the same as usual and the players...

Bare in mind I jumped on Locker. Is it me or has the skill-level in this game not progressed? It still seems people either can't aim, have no game sense, no movement. I can quite easily run aggresive sniper or assault, and out react most / if not all people...that includes our 'level 140' hours ++ people...it just surprises me,

I admit, I have always been an FPS player and faired quite well in everything I play.

Though I don't understand how it hasn't progressed...at all.

Has anyone else thought that recently?

There has been a massive influx of new players in the last 6 months due to promotions / new player acquisition and f(*&^(*^(*&% EA gametime.

I would disagree about the reg though. There have been many improvements to the 'netcode' meaning that the game is much better than on launch.

I generally find the players on the CTE testing server to be a much higher caliber than retail so often play it if no one else is on. The servers also preform much better than retail so reg etc is better.

As the price has dropped to £25 for premium version, there has been a large influx of new players recently. This has watered down the gene pool a bit which is why it looks like the average player hasn't improved. Those of us who have been playing a long time have improved considerably, and you can clearly see the effect of a bunch of level 140 SBs joining a server. ;)

I usually compare reg to valve based games, which does have its pitfalls, but in my opinion have an overall better feel. Numerous times yesterday, high ping players still sponge...everything.

P.S. Don't get me started on the whole server vs client debate :)

Sorry, I don't know what the CTE testing server is :)

Of course, I expect that to be the case and maybe I jumped a little bit to quickly / too far.

I do recall playing with some of the OCUK people some time ago, but got fed up of OP Jets :)

If I remember, I will try and add some of you on friends and follow you on some servers :) What are your nicks on Origin?

CTE is a dev build of the client and servers where you can help DICE test new features/weapons/maps/balance tweaks etc.

There's a Community Map Project going on at the moment where the community has had input to the design and has been testing it.

They've also been running high tickrate server experiments (which have now come to the wider community).

You see a lot of the youtubers and devs on the CTE servers

You can get into the CTE if you have premium.

Origin name: HazardO

There have actually been tests to validate this :) The difference is about 15ms. There is also client side vs server side and hitscan vs projectile to consider.

Rad has been flushed, gpu blocks and heatsinks are on both the 390's, the case has been dremel'd so the rad fits etc, done as much as I can.

Lol at first I thought "all this armor and the frigging jet is going after me". Then after I just about killed you on foot, I knew you would come back in the jet so I had to Tow ;) I knew that Jdam was you as well, so I had to go for the Sraw...sorry Hazard for leaving you rep alone but it had to be done :)

That was one of them days for me where i knew things would go wrong before i even started playing :p. Got home and came online about 6pm filling knackered/lack of sleep. Decided to play. Got killed by someone setting off evolation twice.
Got crushed to death by this on Rouge map at c.
yxqq5wV.png

Put a becon at c. went to c4 a tank. When a guy driving that above me happened to land on my head. Then forgot my defibs on floodzone so couldnt revive. No one killed me for ages so when i did die i said dont revive me :P Then when i go revive hazard. I notice 2 guys 5m away from me standing in a corner of a room while i have defibs out, so shot them and they didnt even notice i was there. Then someone else shot me as kiwi spawned on me. Sorry kiwi! :D

Then i drive on bridge on dawnbreaker as someone blowing it up. Went to eat after we won. Good team work that round.
should have quit for the night but though i play few more. Bad idear. figured i prob end up vs you guys so decided to to use jet all game to bomb you but MAA kept spamming active radar. Had beltfeeder on instead of Gyro Stabilizer so jet went out of control. But i kept thinking im gonna bomb some of you no matter how many times i die.

But Damn i didnt think id have to be that alert around Xin. I understand i ruined the paint work on your tank and you had to kill me! Please forgive me :p

I shouldn't say about the moment i spawned jet and managed to Hit E instead of W due to my ecig tank leaking which got on my hands then on w/a/s/d keys and i ended up dieing in no spawn zone at base :)
If i was recording i could have made a vid of how to fail so many times in 1 night! :p

Still can't believe you dremel'd a 780T. Brave man

You see the underside of your optical drive cage? Well for the rad to fit, I just dremel'd off the bulky bit and that angled bit of metal at the bottom, nothing major.

Need to cut out a bit for the water temp sensor to, but that only came today so will do that tomorrow.

Looking forward to some games tonight
