The Battlefield 4 Thread 2015

meh! :p A new level cap "might" get me back to playing this though....

I will be on GTA 5 tomorrow getting me some bodyguards + a fancy yacht and if I have enough money.... a new house overlooking LS! :D

It is and a very hectic map almost needs 100 players on each side as it is so big

Yeh - its massive. Last time I played it I kept getting smashed by choppers. I'm willing to give it another go but I prefer Op Outbreak between the two new maps.

Was fun to play with a few of you over the weekend. I don't think my 150 ping is holding me back :D

Hazard, where were you mate? At the pub :D ?

I was on, on Sunday for a bit, had a few games but it didn't look like you were going to be online. Was too busy Friday and Saturday.

The airpower seems to be too strong on that map, the aa's will get targeted by the tanks, and the map is so big, an attack heli has so many places to hide.

Cool... might be worth a punt... hopefully they'll up the level cap too for the ****buckets round here :p

Chance would be a fine thing, don't hold your breath though.

Should atleast be decent for Rush. I know that is a game mode people forget about seeing how poor the maps were designed are for it.

Is this just the Dragon valley map pack?

I wasn't completely sold on the map last time I played it.

Each to his own, my favorite on BF2 by a long way, I'm hoping this will really get me into Battlefield 4 (always preferred Bad Company 2!)

Battlefield 3 & 4 never quite do it for me,I prefer the gameplay of BF1942/Desert Combat and battlefield 2 compared to the later ones - I'm hoping the bigger map of Dragon Valley will help....

Updating now, I'm looking forward to this. :)

My problem with the map was two fold:

1) The way the BF4 vehicle assets balance out, especially the air power, but if you are not in a vehicle, then the map seems like a collection of TDM maps separated by highly exposed long hikes from an infantry point of view.

2) The spawn points. Initially these were really bad, you could end up with an entire team spawning on a point to defend it, actually spawning on the side of a hill with no cover right in front of the enemies tanks and AAs.

One of my favorite BF4 maps is zavod/zavod night operations because they really got the balance of infantry, ground and air vehicles right on that map.

I guess for dragon valley to work for me it would need ~100 players per side not just 64, so the vehicles would need to be more wary of being swamped by engineers.

awww please say it ant so :(

That's my only problem with Battlefield now, their idea is THROW MORE VEHICLES AT IT.... just turns into a vehicle fest.

Wish they would just transfer the BF3 maps to BF4.

Eh, the last update they had included a great new map that was highly infantry-focused. Since BF3, they've been big on creating maps that lean on different parts of the infantry/vehicle scale.

I personally prefer maps that lean a bit towards infantry, but not too much. Vehicles in BF require a lot of experience and skill to pilot effectively. If you dont already have that, you are basically wasting resources for your team and you'll get other people killed if you're piloting something carrying others. So I tend to like just going on-foot for the most part.

This was unexpected!

As before you need to 'buy' it in the store and download it apparently.

Some good improvements in the patch notes. Sadly the TOW seems to have been nerfed, although autoloader might counter that. I've not played the new map since the cloud cover was added. I wonder if that makes a difference.
