Is there any way to get the Steam overlay working with this? I've added Origin.exe as a non-Steam game but when I launch BF4 I can't pull the overlay up. Is it possible? :)
 
For me since the SA update I get the sound loop crash on certain maps. Locker, Metro and Dawnbreaker all crash within a few minutes. The rest of the maps I can play all night long
 
Was going to get new SSD and hard drive and get 8.1 on sometime this week but reading the above etc. has definitely put me of until the game is fixed properly (if ever.....)

Aside from dodgy net code, invisible walls/textures, the game is running pretty well and stable on my system.

Same here, when it isnt crashing due to the various dice bugs it can be a very enjoyable game. Not one of the issues ive experienced are overclock/system related as they happen at stock too. Ive also thought about moving to win 8.1, not just for games. But tbf even on win 7 when the game plays ball, it runs great.

Double xp again, will try a few rounds later as i have a shedload of 25 and 50% boosts that i havent used yet.
 
Wanted to upgrade my CPU and GFX card soon but atm as my game runs fine (ie I don't crash on the crashy maps) I think i'll stick with my current gear until this game is fixed (as in never)

You have a 60" Plasma tv but you cannot afford Premium....are you financed to the hilt or something?

So funny when when people are getting owned by a tank, they equip staff and get two reppers for their tank just so they can kill you.

I also love it when people give of about me and other vehicle players camping/not PTFO etc. despite having 3-5 times more flags capped and defended than them :D


And then the complainers about not doing as well when playing infantry instead of tank whoring..... I guess m416 & QBU was too stronk??? ;) Think that whiner TS something was then complaining about me killing him instantly lol....

AND then you have the people who seem to think tanking is EASY, if that is the case, why are they near the bottom of the leaderboard with a negative k/d ratio when they try........

It was annoying last night on Rogue with you camping our spawn. Chipmunk and I were raging on team chat, literally spawning into an already dead tank got old fast.

I wouldnt expect youd need a cpu upgrade at all tbh? With the 780 in sig, i cant see any difference in bf3/4 when using my old i7 930. With bf4 i can run it maxed, but prefer to drop settings down. Still looks ok but more importantly it runs a lot faster.

Yup OC system here as well and any crashes I do have, it isn't because of that as other people will have crashed too.

Am I the only one who hates all these XP boosts and battlepacks??

Having one every month or two is fine but not every weekend as well as getting BP's containing 25, 50, 100 and 200XP boosts.....

Well you didn't have any flags apart from A so kind of hard not to kill you guys when our team were trying to capture the last flag :p

I think patsy was right at your base in a tank as well....
 
Ahh, recording may well be a different matter i suppose. Ever considered the secondhand route? Something like an intel i7 3770k. Bit cooler running than hw.
 
Hell yeah, but at the moment it works when I know people with far nicer rigs than mine that doesn't so not changing anything yet.

I also have a 60Hz monitor and 99.9% of the time have 60fps+ (normally somewhere from 80-120 locked) although I'll prob put it back down to 70fps locked because those extra frames are just being wasted tbh.

Having owned both a 3770k and 4770k i found the hw at 4.2 to be equivalent to the ib at 4.5ghz. The ivy ran much cooler though when stressed, 81c at 4.5ghz on 1.34v. The oven in sig will hit the high 90's at 1.275v. Just dont bother with stress tests now, in game it gets to 67c in a case with no front air intake.
 
I'm not having any issues with my new upgrades, it wasn't a massive upgrade admittedly, just CPU, MB, RAM, New SSD, Win 8.1 and case, but it was something I'd wanted to do for a while. Having BF4 on the SATA 3 EVO is awesome (was on a mech drive before) I am now one of if not the first into every game. :D

Went from an X58, 920 at 4Ghz, 6Gb, W7 64Bit to what I have linked in my sig. Was fine before and still is.
 
Hmm that 4770K and 780 look a bit weak kit V_R, if you'd like I can swap it from my AMD CPU and 580? I won't even charge you extra cos i'm so nice xD

Setter agreed to me having his 4770K and 780 but I couldn't afford the drop down in performance.
