i have decent headphones aswell. :)

how can a small headphone speaker replicate as good as proper speakers or as good it cant ;).

5.1 speaker setup for life :p

Where is everyone tonight?

Was going to jump on around 10PM but decided not to otherwise I would be on till 1/2am :(

Told tony I would be jumping on tonight but.... just remembered that boogie 2988 (youtuber) will be on super size VS super skinny so kind of want to watch that :p

Surprising how much communication you can have with a few bullets into the ground to get peoples attention :p

lol thought I wish more people were fluent in it, mostly support classes.... don't seem to understand a guy spamming "hey, drop some ammo" in voice commands, chat and firing bullets and generally getting in his way as a sign that the dude might want something.... maybe ammo? :p

I've created an OcUK Battlelog platoon

This time round they don't appear to be platform specific so OcUK PC players and console players alike can represent OcUk in the same platoon.

http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/platoons/view/1496991233136988121/

They're limited to 100 players however, so we may need multiple platoons like we had on BF3. If/When we reach the limit somebody can create another one and I'll rename this one Overclockers 1.

PS anybody any good with the emblem editor and fancy creating us an Overclockers Uk Logo ?

A thought - does the "bullets" icon appear over EVERY support guy's head, or just the ones with ammo bags equipped? Just wondering if I have spent ages waiting for a guy with claymores and C4 to drop ammo...

P.S. Shotgun whore :p

google . at end of day it comes down to budget. headphones do a great job.

get a great set of speakers and a amp you wont beat it. argue all you want.

It seems to be missing one vital feature and that is an event calendar and notification.

Get a great set of headphones and use them through an amp/dac?

There's a reason the majority of "pros" even at home use headphones over speakers.

If you've got a room with perfect acoustics and speakers set up perfectly then yeah probably will be better but hardly anyone can have that.

Applied for OCUK Platoon.

LOLOL dg you really have no clue. Unless you have dampened the sound of the room you listen to music / games in plus measured the spatial acoustics to flatten your EQ and positioned your speakers to exactly aim at the back of your ears etc etc etc. Oh and ofc you would have anti reflection pads mounted to your roof as well? God forbid you have a wooden floor cos then well...good luck with balanced acoustics.

When I was at Parkgate studios the renowned speaker company Genelec come to install our main monitors@ £25'000 each. They were there for 3 days measuring the room with lasers n shizzle before installing the speakers so they could fine tune the speakers etc etc. Of course I take it dg, you had the same thing for your home xD

So remember kids....never listen to dg

yeah joe they did the same for my acoustic solutions floor standers and my KEF monitors (back speakers on stilts ;) ). mine only took 2 days though :\ wonder if they did a cowboy job of it :(

P.S. Shotgun whore :p

I go through phases

I'm whoring DMRs at the minute in an attempt to unlock every weapon in the game. I used this weekend to whore the double XP and get all the sniper rifles unlocked. Got the GOL Magnum, the L96A1 and the SRR61

The DVB shotgun is AWESOME.

I use speakers. I use my headset for TS and that's it. Haven't found any headphones that will give good at 30hz or below like my speakers do. Need to add a subwoofer when I move house.

If you play vehicles/CQ Large it doesn't really matter. If you play a lot of infantry DOM/TDM etc and you dont use a headset you're doing yourself a disservice.

People also have the bullet icon above them (flashing) IIRC when requesting ammo so its a bit confusing sometimes who is a support with ammo and who is requesting ammo :S

You never get the same intimacy and positioning from speakers for infantry combat though to a degree its somewhat academic as BF4's sound can be a bit vague at times positional wise even with CMSS-3D or razor surround.

while i have an awesome 5.1 setup in my lounge, TagMaclaren Amp and Processor, I still much rather game on my headset. Something about having the sound right in the ear I suppose, just feels much closer which it obviously is
