same problem binding anything higher than Mouse4 with my g500 - you should be able to bind Mouse4, or any button, to 'M' in the mouse driver though as a keystroke assignment. If you use that button normally when not in BF you should be able to set a specific profile for the game I think, not sure if yours has that ability in the setpoint software?
 
Hit reg completely taken a dive for me tonight :( even close range static targets the first few rounds on almost every person are having 0 effect :( frustrating doesn't even come close. Coupled with constant bouts of prone/sprint screw ups that I've never had before today so assuming its some server side bug.

Had some good games with the guys on TS.

Not the most enjoyable evening as I was trying to level my sniper rifles. Had a few games where I couldn't hit a barn door from 20 feet away.

The can't connect to server bug seem to have stopped for me over the last few nights, touch wood, although sadly I see it is not the case for everybody.
 
GG's tonight, should be back on more often now :)

Highlights was shooting netphreak and BL down when they were in the jet with my tank :D :p

haha yup, shotguns and DMR's only things left for me too :D (PDWs as well but they are complete and utter **** so cba with them)

edit:

just been playing on a usa server, actually not too bad! Might have to find xfactor, lvlcap etc. now :p :D

Depends how serious your going to play it and/or style of play. If your easily bothered by variable hit registry, glitches that randomly kill you (or get you killed) 2-3 times a map, etc. it not worth paying for :S Beneath all the crap unfortunatly there is a good game there or I'd have put it down a long time ago but theres a lot you have to tolerate (or just not care about) to get any enjoyment out of it :|

It needs atleast a couple more compelling maps, most are pretty boring to play as well as a ton of fixes to silly glitches and "netcode" - even if they halved the "built in" delay that happens with the "netcode" it would improve the game immensely for me - theres no way any modern online game should have the entire server become laggy when a single client with a 300ms ping joins :( even 10-15+ year old games like tribes managed to work around that.
 
I see in Dice's notes they say you have to 'activate' the extra XP Boosts via the in game menu. ( battle packs)

What's that mean?

Don't think I've done anything like that and wondered if I haven't been getting all boosts. Did notice it wasn't adding anything at the end a lot.

Edit. For clarity, I do open them and have a look whats there. Am I right in thinking everything in there I get?

Open them up and it says how many boosts you have just click on which one you want and it should say in the bottom right of the ingame menu which boost you have active and how long its active for.

If that makes sense
 
Thanks for your input guys. Looks like i'll be leaving it till it's either fixed (unlikely) or till it's about £3 on another Humble Bundle. I'm still quite happy playing BF3 to be honest.
 
It's not really that 'broken' now. I can play for hours without crashing and hitreg is much better now. If it launched like this we'd all be saying it was pretty good.

I share the same views, it has gotten much better since the release, its a good game now. I have some niggles but nothing major.

Almost 200h in now I have experienced the game, faults and all since beta.
