As for the issue im having, i cant for the life of me think what it can be. My best assumpion is a netcode/connection issue as CTE plays so differently. Even on a single 780 my fps are consistently very good but the spiking and stutter that comes with it render the game a bit unplayable at times. Ive heard that it runs a bit better on win8, though if the changes from CTE make it in i wont need to move to it. Coupled with another gpu i think i should be grand.

With a single 780 your game should be buttery smooth. I know when I switched from Win 7 to Win 8.1 in the BETA my game became so much smoother. Perhaps setup a duel boot and try it? Fresh install should really eliminate any issues / doubt. Echo what Fanatic said regarding FPS limits when not running VSYNC.

Lol, tbh id like a g sync monitor myself, though the swift is a bit pricey. Ill wait to see what other 2560x1440 offerings appear this year. Getting near time to retire this ol benq.
 
Back playing after a week off. To my shame I now have 100 mg4 stars.

Tony, try to remember to set objective please, more points = better!
 
I'm just happy to be at 1080p 144Hz. Don't want 1440 just yet although ULMB would be nice although Kiwi does it still kill colours like lightboost does?

Hell when I play infy @ BF3 I play in 720p on my 1080 screen for larger minimap + less recoil. I do play BF4 in 1080p ofc tho.
 
Having played bf4 on a mates 2560x1440 display i was hooked, had this current lcd for over 6 years now. Going sli 780 so fancy a monitor that will get the best out of the cards. Also reset FOV in bf4 to 74, (90) looks a lot better.

Yep, it's quite hectic in metro and I'll be honest, I only realised I was leader late in the last game when I accidentally pressed Q when I was aiming at a flag lol.

Yeh after loads of testing I just prefer GSYNC. The motion blur / lag reduction is most noticeable @ 50%> strobing and at that point its too dark to play BF4 IMO. I tend to agree that the colors are also washed out with ULMB.

GSYNC is just solid. I turned the settings up to full ultra the other day and it was actually was really nice and smooth - so I would imagine that it will be ironing out the drops (when I get them) during firefights quite nicely.

Also much prefer gsync on this game as it does make quite a big difference to the quality of the experience in my opinion.

Just had my first game on CTE and I think I'll come back to BF4 when it hits the live servers. It plays very close to BF3 for me, which is a big bonus as I really enjoyed it. Hit reg seems pretty much bang on as well with my fibre net connection on CTE, which is all over the place on normal against high pingers -.-

mg4 and mortar is a great combo, being able to call in the artillery on pearl market when your are pinned down by roof camping snipers is never dull. :D

some cheeky GGs last night :)

had some gpu issues to start though, my #1 680 was topping out at ~880MHz core where as #2 was up around 1180MHz.... quite the difference obviously.... checked gpu and cpu temps... all fine...

ended up closing down TS and my 2 instances of chrome. about 5-10 secs after closing chrome it joined the second card in the 1100's :) so not sure if there was some element in chrome that was screwing with it. probably YT or twitch....

but then it was back to the action :D

zovod was awesome comeback :) totally all me whoring up the M-arty ;)

dam was pretty fun too :D

had some lovely CQB action on flood :)

rail way went a bit meh though...was having fun till someone on the enemy team parked their MAA behind a rock just over the hill from our deployment ;) :rolleyes: thought had fun trolling you a bit TBL ;) ramming you with my tank, ramming with the jeep, defibbing the AA..... :P

first time I had jumped on for a week or two I think :)

(damn... all da smiles xD )
