As an aside though; why do you hate them? Hard to counter? Do you feel that they grant the user cheap kills?

It's hard to say, I guess yes I do feel like it's cheap kills for the user as I (personally) don't think as much skill is required to use those weapons. Take the shotgun for example, all it takes is one half decent shot to kill someone. There isn't much aim required despite what other what other people may think.

Pretty bored of the game tbh (800 hours and then if you count the beta game play time, that is another 100 or so hours, most hours I have put into a game, even more than BC2 which is probably my favourite MP FPS game!) and more so because it is frustrating coming back to vanilla BF 4 after playing the CTE which is just superior in every way now.
Might try to get on tonight or tomorrow night for a game or 2 though...
I know what you mean. I only play with other people and don't tend to play alone. I'm finding the game is as much about socialising as it is playing.
