He's linked us to a couple of videos that are pretty clear cut. The only difference between him and us is that he bothers to spectate...
 
Well after having pretty much no issues on my old PC, i upgraded it over the weekend, Processor, RAM, Win 8.1 and a new, bigger SSD. (see sig)

BF4 installed onto the EVO, loads so much faster than the old 'old' drive, PB installed and updated. mouse fix applied.

So I load a game hoping it isn't going to be a crash fest on the new hardware, thankfully still no issues. :D


One thing i noticed instantly, Win8 is 100 times smoother than 7. I thought 7 was ok, but after playing a few rounds today I notice how 7 was as bit stuttery.

Its bad hit reg - game thing not server specific. Seems to come and go a bit sometimes liveable with other times fully atrocious.

I don't really use DMRs much but had a bit of a whirl earlier and for most of the round very literally my first shot wasn't registering until I'd fired my 3rd round :(

If you find the recoil on it to much use Angled grip and burst away, it's possibly the best gun in BF4 right now.

BF4 stats and BF4DB are great for checking for anomalies and with them showing battle reports you get an even better idea of whether they are hacking.

There maybe more hackers than I think, but I see them so rarely, they are either terrible players who are so bad even cheats won't help or not as many as you might think.

I think there are less hackers than people think in public and more in comp than people would imagine.
 
Many of them are pretty terrible even with cheats, but its cheating none the less, one player recently my instinct was they were cheating, but stats were average, definitely wasn't aimbotting, was only when their wallhack was thrown by a glitch in the levelution and they were trying to shoot at a player the opposite side of the whole hotel in hainan that I knew for sure.

TBH varies a lot, while on tonight I didn't spot anyone I thought was cheating other than 1 person I picked up on last week whereas Saturday night I spotted several of which 2 had high scores on bf4db (been aware if that site awhile).

EDIT: One thing I haven't considered is normal servers, where cheating might not be so common, I play exclusively hardcore and mostly cq large.

Must have played more BF4 over the weekend than I have since the first couple of weeks. Had many great games and one cracking one which came down to 14 tickets on Zavod late last night. I see that the spawn in second seat bug is still active (thought this had been fixed lol), but apart from that had no issues.

Now all we need is second assault to hit and breath some life into the game again.
 
ACE 52 as assault weapon wouldn't be a bad thing. I sometimes feel that I win a few more one on ones if we both see each other at/near the same time. That might be placebo.

Having said that I still end up using the ace 23 most of the time.
 
Played with the ace 52 for a while last night using angled + laser + comp. and it is an awesome setup! Usually used ergo + laser.

Going to play with the scar H for a bit instead of the ace 23 and see how I get on, not fussed on guns with low ammo though...


GG's last night with the usual people :D

Rogue = best map for tanking, 76-2/25698 points, sniping snipers with my HMG FTW :p And of course taking some jets + helis down, as someone else said, never gets old :D


Really liking the zuni's instead of the LMG on the LAV, can be more aggressive and take on large group of enemies with ease as well as tanks etc. Shame they get stuck on everything though, westie and I got stuck on D flag in the ship on hainan and then c4'd :(

Might switch from activ to zuni for AA as well now, be nice to have some decent fire power against the tanks that push the aa...

You joined late into that first game and still managed to run up a cricket score. :D

I used to use that setup when playing Rush, it lets you play the AA very aggressively.

Has anyone noticed anything happening with their Air radar when flying jets?

I was a in a Stealth jet several times last night and had no air radar, just the normal mini map display.

Had my first games with Mantle last night - generally very nice, but ran into a few bugs:

Got into someone's vehicle (LAV of IFV or one of those with driver/gunner/4 x passenger) on Flood zone (CQ large, post-flood).

I was in the gunner seat and my 'crosshair' was a large rectangle (like a video camera's framing bars) that did not appear to fire anything.

I tried to change seats and crashed to desktop.

Have I accidentally given myself a weird loadout, did I get myself into a vehicle I've never seen before, or was it another bug?
 
Those aren't mantle bugs - a recent server update screwed up the gunner position on vehicles (lots of random crashing) and the update they did to try and fix it often results in the gunner being unable to fire and having incorrect crosshairs, etc. (and still crashing just not as often).

The game seems to have a lot of very random and sometimes unique to one player bugs :| when I jump out of an AC130 on golmund and use an SRAW I get what I assume is the console aim assist kicking in when ADSing with it (honestly no cheats on my end) it only happens on that map and that weapon and when jumping from the AC130 (jumping out of a jet or heli doesn't do it) and no one else who has tried to reproduce it gets it. Any other map i.e. jumping from the tower on siege or ac130 on paracel it doesn't happen.
