The best songs ever?

Do note that all the bottom of the barrel videos are posted by one and the same guy (with very Eastern eurodisco taste)

A song from what is probably one of my favourite albums ever

I could post most things by Elvis but this one has been a long time favourite, as it reminds me of being with my Nan listening to The King :)

Going by some of the songs posted in here, I think we need a thread title change!

^ Well said - there is so much guff posted in here it may as well be "the worst songs ever"

No surprise really that you get some people who can't differentiate between something that they like and something that could be considered 'best'.

..there is so much guff posted in here it may as well be "the worst songs ever"

One man's trash...... :p

Probably a good job there is no 'worst song' thread; it would be many many pages long. :p

Except that the songs are very good:

Popular does not mean best.

Remember that crazy frog song? That was popular. If there is anyone who thinks that should be in this thread, they deserve to be pointed at and laughed at Nelson style, everywhere they go.

Best songs ever? Slightly misleading thread title or what!

Should be renamed currently popular throwaway guff :p

I know music is very much down to individual taste, but seriously, some of the stuff listed here has no business being in a thread titled best ever songs ;)

Well I agree with some of those :)

I'd pick the original of sound of silence by Simon and Garfunkel though.

The cover is actually an ok song, but not a patch on the original.

A few I'd regard as worthy:

Fleetwood Mac - The Chain
Roxy Music - More Than This
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
Rush - Spirit Of Radio
David Bowie - Space Odity
Simon and Garfunkel - The Boxer

Correct, for popular I meant the platinum and gold certificates.
They are not mass popular in the same way as gangnam style or the one mentioned by you.
The crazy frog song is a children's song, yes?

These are classics:
