Why? Cos of the Euro's? I think he's very good player. Had a very poor Euro's but that was because he was been played out of position. Did'nt settle last season at Barca but neither did Evra in his first season.

Riquelme goes missing far too often!

That's more or less spot on in my opinion. Would just make 4 (controversial, for the most part) changes:

Casillas in for Buffon: A year ago I'd have said Gigi, but Casillas seems to have improved even more, while Buffon is just starting to show signs that he's peaked. Definately the best 2 keepers around though.

Kaka in for Riquelme: Firstly, I'll say that I love Riquelme. Aside from Alonso, he's one of my favourite players; I simply love passing. However, I would say that picking him ahead of Kaka is somewhat silly; Kaka's range of passing and vision is by no means far from Riquelme's, and he offers so much more in terms of dribbling, pace and goals. Gerrard should also be in the running here, but misses out for me as he doesn't have that exceptional touch which can be attributed to Riquelme, and Kaka in particular.

Masch in for Senna: Tight one, but I'd go for Mascherano in this team; while Senna is a little more creative, Masch is a touch better defensively. With the players around him, what you really want is somebody who will sit and dominate the midfield, allowing Xavi, Messi, Ronaldo and Kaka to do what they want!

Torres for Drogba: Drogba is admittedly a monster, with the exceptional passers in this team I think the guile and pace of Torres would work better. He's by no means bad at holding the ball up either. Villa would be in contention, as I'd argue that he's the best striker in the world, but he's a little too slight to go up top alone.

That's all fair enough really. Goalkeeper could have gone either way like I said.. I disagree on Kaka's passing ability being somewhere close to Riquelme's but again, I can't really complain at anyone that includes Kaka in their list. I just think Riquelme is an incredibly gifted player, perhaps naturaly more so than anyone other player of this generation. Again, Mascherano also nearly made it to my list, although funnily enough I decided to go for Senna for the exact same reasons you said you'd go for Mascherano. :D And yeah, Torres is indeed a great striker, and would have been my second choice but I just went for Drogba in the end. I also agree about David Villa too, the best striker in the world currently but not really suited for this formation I don't think.

Thermaltake: No, not because of the Euro, although he was indeed awful on that stage. I haven't rated him long before then, and I always thought it was ridiculous he got in to the French national team over Clichy, nevermind Evra.

I dont think Kaka is any better than gerrard. They get the same results with a completely different style.

Even so the 2 arent mutually exclusive why not have both?
 
Do they get the same results? I think Gerrard has much more of an impact.
I personally think Kaka is massively overrated and always have done, Gerrard as much as it pains me to say is one of the finest players of his generation and is one of the very few players I've seen who can turn a whole team around single handedly.

Personally, probably wouldn't have them both in the same side.
I didn't say Gerrard wasn't as good as Kaka, I'd prefer to have Kaka in my squad. It's as simple as that.

oh and the thing about Gerrard being a better playing at liverpool ? No.
Sorry I think Gerrard would be a better player if he was at a better club.
 
Because they think that they are right, and that other people's opinions are wrong.

I have no problem with Gerrard, I think he's the best English midfielder since Scholes, I'd say he's right up there with some of the better players in the world.

I just don't want him in my starting 11. Down to my personal style.
