So thats a bit wrong, the end of a legends career and they let him have a blemish after all these years.
 
It took ages for Brocks music to start, the 21-1 and didn't come up for ages...commentators seemed genuinely stunned as opposed to acting...

It all seems odd

Taker was booked to win. Taker was tired the entire match, he wasn't himself, he is too old. He was supposed to kick out of the 3rd F5 but he just let Brock win.

Just watched the ending again. Taker didn't kick out when pinned and Brock would have been fired the second he walked through the curtain if he'd screwed the taker over.

Don't think I've ever seen an audience so shocked at the ending of a pro wrestling match.
 
Has a feeling it would happen, all the face wrestlers have won so far tonight, plus Bryan will win. They need a heel to win (And no-one cares about the divas)
 
Saw that coming, major landmark event, undertaker is getting on a bit, and there's no shame in losing to someone of Brock's wrestling and MMA pedigree.
If it was ever going to happen, it was going to be this year.
 
Huge mistake by WWE tbh. Fair enough the streak ending but lesner dont deserve it one bit. yes taker is part timer he has earned the right lesner did not. Why the hell would give the streak up to a part timer dont make any business sense. Should have been a major buildup and story line for the streak end only 3 people I think deserve to end the streak kane HBK or an up and coming star.

The same brock who has plenty non wwe Money? Because giving a part timer the win is best for business

I'd wager Vince gave him the choice of who he wanted to lose to and he chose Lesnar.
As you say, it's an odd choice, from a business/entertainment perspective, so maybe it wasn't about those things.
 
It was definitely a poor match in comparison to more recent matches, but I think the HBK/HHH Streak matches spoiled us, even Punks match was poor when compared to those

I think the idea was probably a Rocky type scenario, two giants slugging it out and giving it everything in a fair fight, but I do agree that it didn't really come off. They'll get away with it though, the impact of the loss takes all the attention off the match itself, you just needed to see the dumbstruck faces of the crowd to know that would be the case.
