The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

If WWE buy TNA then they can put their shows on the WWE network. Kurt Angle has arguable had some of his better matches in TNA. His matches with Joe were incredible.

WWE have more than enough air time to fit in a bunch of TNA talent.

I don't think one man will attract much more custom, surely?

I wonder how much it would cost to buy TNA.

I think I heard about 500k. Vince bought wCw for like 3m. I think ecw cost 10k.

I don't know how true these figures are but I also read that Hogan was offered wCw for 10m.

Bring back Kurt Angle and the Hardys and they would get there money back on Merch alone!

Anyway bought tickets to Hell In A Cell in Dallas,Texas! Sitting right beside the entrance ramp and about 5 rows from the ring should be awesome :)! Was at HIAC last year in Miami and it was great fun!

Id honestly be amazed if kurt angle could pass a physical for wwe these days.

Not really so many loop holes they would use kurt would not even have to wrestle and would probably make good manager for swagger. I mean common they are reportedly lining up a hulk hogan cena match. Hulk Hogan probably old enough to be my grand father twice over and dam he needs to hang the boots up.

The thing is though hogan knows what he can and can't do and doesn't go out there and try and kill himself. Last time I watched angle wrestle you could plainly see he should be done but he goes out there and destroys himself. Fair enough it makes for a good match but the chance of somethingn going horribly wrong is quite high and I can't see him toneing it down for his health. As far as I can see hogan in a match probably won't end that badly but I'm still not convinced it'll ever happen. If it does it'll have to be this years mania because every year that passes it gets massively unlikely. It would be a shockingly bad match but it would make the 2nd rock v cena match look watchable. Angle going out there in a high profile match for his return to the big leagues he's going to pull out all the stops and it's just not safe so yeah he would have to work a managerial role which would confirm my point of brings physically unfit to wrestle.

Listening to Angle recently he realises he was killing himself (that moonsault of the cage not long ago) and he's also got clean apparently.

Would love to see him back. Ankle lock on Rusev to end his streak would be glorious

WWE NETWORK coming to the UK on October 1st 2014.

Sign me up.

It's definitely worth it. However I'll still leave myself signed to the american one.

WWE announced the release of Alberto Del Rio due to unprofessional conduct and an altercation with an employee.

Didn't see that coming, but they weren't really doing anything with him either. Wonder who was involved though.

He has said he was done after this contract anyway I'm pretty sure. He was never ready for the main event when he got stuck there I genuinely can't think he's ever made me want to do anything other than fast forward his stuff

Pretty much any match he wrestles in I fast forward. He's so boring in the ring and the feuds they put him in are so mundane.

Wrestling Kofi Kingston for 4+ TV shows on the bounce? Give me a break. All he ever does is 'weaken their arm' for the cross armbreaker.

Least that saves me fast forwarding the kofi match when they are together. At least weakening the area of the finishing move makes sense but he's still pretty terrible

Wonder who the altercation was with.

According to Meltzer:

The story going around is that he slapped a a Social Media manager, at this week's television, but there are a variety of different stories going around regarding what led to this.

Based on sketchy stories and what wrestlers have been talking about, at catering, somebody asked the person to clean off his plate. The person joked something along the lines of how that's Del Rio's job. Del Rio found out and confronted him. As the story goes, he didn't apologize and then smiled at him, and Del Rio slapped him.
