The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

The booking of the womens RR was a bit off imo, it took forever to get the first elimination done. It was like the bookers were frightened of making someone look weak even if it made the overall match a bit dull. The winner was no surprise which didn't help matters and they failed to make the most of there new acquisition who is a ready made star yet only got one elimination (?).

Given there were quite a few returning wrestlers and debutantes it was a good idea not to bring back Ms Cargill at the RR as her return would have been over shadowed. It will be interesting to see what Paul does with her now given who they've signed who is a proven star as opposed to a star in the making.

I haven't watched the rest of the card but I have seen the spoilers and frankly I wish I didn't. Oh well live and learn.

WWE is just fallen into their typical trap of having way too many superstars. They just don't know what to do with a lot of them now.
Great match between Cody and Kevin.
I am surprised at the end result for the men's to be fair, they must be riding on the hype of jey uso.
Potentially a fatal 3 way for wrestlemania between reigns, cm punk and Seth?

Maybe Drew, too?

That could be possible too.
I am curious what build up they are planning for Jey though..is he going to go for Gunther again or are they thinking of making him the new face for the year and take Cody Rhode spot?

Edit:
Anyone caught Lyra had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction in the royal rumble? Her knot from the top came loose lol.
I am curious to what they have plans for the rest of the woman competition.

I think Drew-Seth-Punk-Reigns could be where we're headed; all four have had quite heavy beef in recent memory, and none are currently in the title picture, and it could be a good way to legitimise/springboard Drew finally.

Yes, I saw that malfunction! I couldn't tell if Liv's dropkick was intentional, to get her out of the middle so she could fix herself.

No doubt them 4 and Cena will be battling it out at elimination chamber.
Most likely kicked her in the corner so she can get sorted.

I really don't get the hype with Jey Uso he's good with mic and get the crowd going but his singles in-ring work is not main event level, his match with Jimmy at last years WM was by far the worst match on either night and his offense and moveset just seems to predictable.

There are loads of examples of this throughout history - Goldberg, Hogan, Warrior, even the Rock towards the beginning of his career - presence, "aura", charisma, and getting 'over' with the crowd will carry performers a long way, even if their in-ring skills aren't up to much.

Not the result I expected but the suspense of the Men's rumble kept on going to the very end.
Women's rumble was far too predictable in the end.
Some great spots in both rumbles.
Cody vs KO was brutal.
Tag was unlucky to be bolted in there.

The Penta botch was crazy and spotted it but no replays and even went back on timeline a few times but it happened so quickly. He had a good run in the rumble and made it fun outside the main roster superstars. Some questionable spots but you could tell the refs calling spots and the roster talking to get things going at certain times.

Apparently "Charlotte Flair" has been divorced yet again, that makes 3. I think at this point the Fliehr family just have a thing for engagement and wedding rings. Only 2 divorces behind the old man, WooooooOOOOOOOooooooo
