The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

It was definitely a poor match in comparison to more recent matches, but I think the HBK/HHH Streak matches spoiled us, even Punks match was poor when compared to those

Gotta say I agree with you on Heymans reaction! Just wish they would have built the match more then what they did, or perhaps someone different instead of Lesnar.

See what you mean, perhaps there wouldn't have been a right time either way.

But them not building the match was perfect!

Because it made you think that there was no chance it was ever going to end to someone like Brock, someone that they barely bothered to hype. That made the shock even more hard hitting, it was brilliance.

There was a lot of outrage initially, but I think a lot of people are starting to realise the brilliance of it all

It absolutely was a brilliant choice, simply because of the outrage it caused. The heat he generated by beating Taker was ridiculous, did you not even watch RAW last night?

Who would you have chosen? There is no one else. And how do you know that there is not something in Brocks contract now to suggest he's got to make more appearances after a certain point.

HOWEVER, Brock should only be that guy if he's gonna stick around. They've just paired Heyman with Cesaro which almost certainly indicates that Brock is going on another hiatus again.

Brock signed a 4 year deal in 2012, he's going nowhere

Also, Brock was chosen by Taker, they have a lot of history and are good friends outside of wrestling, so that and "best for business" reasons were why Brock was picked

If you think Undertaker is never wrestling again after Heyman dissed him last night and screamed about him being a loser while Taker was in hospital with severe concussion, you are mistaken.

Wrestling again for sure. Will probably gain redemption over Brock at Summerslam or something or next years WM, then that will be it.

Taker is done, he won't wrestle again. Everything about his Mania match and how he left the ring suggested he was done

I really don't think Cesario getting Heyman is a sign of Brock going away. If anything, it's probably to go along with Heymans storyline of proving he's the best manager in existence because he beat the streak.

I just can't see anyone else in the company who could have done it other than Brock, that wasn't already over and a big enough star or that would have crumbled under the pressure of being the guy that beat the streak

Well punk didn't hold back in this week's Colt Cabana podcast

He's a whiney little brat, good riddance I say.

Self-entitled crybaby going on about how it's never been about money and in the same breath complaining that he never got paid enough etc. He seems to think he's the only wrestler that has ever been undervalued or overworked etc, deal with it, that's the nature of the industry.

And complaining he was never a WM main eventer? Maybe the fans never saw you as a main event? His match with Undertaker was hardly memorable, and if it was good enough the fans would regard it as the main event. Do you think fans regard HHH and Jericho as the main event of WM18? No, the fans will always look back and remember The Rock and Hogan as the true main event, so Punk needs to realise that he just hasn't put a match on that is worthy of a main event
