The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

It's a bit odd. Regal can wrestle quite well, I was actually looking forward to seeing him and Christian battle it out.

When he brought down the other two I thought "Oh my, this is going to be crap" and then they just ruined it straight off.

Ah well.

I really detest these Cena - Orton matches. You're basically killing time waiting for one of:

- Cena hits the 5 knuckle shuffle, the FU, and then either pins or does the STFU for the submission.
- Orton looks down and out but recoils with either an RKO or a punt to the head.

I just wish, for once, I could come away from a match with either of these two in thinking "Wow, I really didn't see that one coming".

Yer, the only thing I haven't seen coming atm is the cut Orton got on his lip

Love the crowd

"Let's go Orton"
"Let's go Cena"

Adults cheering Orton, kids cheering Cena.

I think I know what it is.

All of Cena's matches feel like they've been scripted to feel as kiddie-friendly as possible.

Cena LOVES the whole PG thing, and supports it whole-heartedly :/

His current "good guy" gimmick is his own idea and creation rather than something WWE suggested.

Yeah but it's not him, it's just the way it unfolds. It's made simple so that children can follow his matches more easily.

At least that's my opinion on it. PG supporter or not, that's how it seems. :)

What a complete and utter shambles.

I mean seriously, I wasn't expecting that, but they seemed to try too hard and screwed it right up.

/sigh

That white shirt dude, was that scripted or a fan? I have a feeling it was a fan and the ending was improvised from then on. I think Orton was supposed to get out of the STF on his own

Yeah but there was a huge pause where Cena and Orton just looked utterly bemused.

Along with the announcers saying nothing, security pouncing immediately and dragging the guy out violently. I originally thought it might have been freddy prinze, but 1) why would he attack the referee? 2) freddie was sat behind the announcers, not the right side of the ring. Everyone look truly stunned and nothing happened for quite a few seconds. Not planned, improvised from the end IMO.

For what it's worth, and although I didn't post any so you'll just have to trust me, I predicted all the results correctly and then wrote at the bottom of the page:

'Taker returns?

Pretty proud of myself. :p

[Edit] Then again, there weren't really any unpredictable results tonight. When it was posted that Jeff was leaving, he was always gonna drop the title. DX were always going to win, neither of the other two titles or the tags were gonna change hands, and that just left the two non-title singles matches.

I managed to predict MVP and Kane. :)

Taker was limping though, he's not fully ring ready I don't think after the knee surgery.
