The Big WWE Wrestling Thread

I just realised who Hawkings and Archer remind me off ... DX, with Archer being HBK

Should given them DXs old gimmick tbh :)

Drew McIntyre and Wade Barrett have been pulled from WWE television as their current work visas have expired and they are no longer eligible to work within the United States. In the case of Barrett, he has returned to Great Britain while he awaits a new visa to be cleared. Meanwhile, McIntyre is still believed to be in United States.
Well done Vince, how hard can it be for your HR department to keep visas current

Also
It has been confirmed that WWE stars Michelle McCool and Mark Calaway (a/k/a Undertaker) got married on Saturday in Houston, Texas.

Not sure if anyone is aware, but both Wade Barrett and Drew McIntyre's work visa's have expired in the US. Meaning that they have been forced to leave America and come back to the UK.

McIntyre may still be in the US as he is married over there (to WWE Diva Tiffany) but a lot of reports are saying that Barrett is now back in the UK.

Rumours are running wild that Sheamus may be next as he was signed at the same time as McIntyre and Barrett.

Not looking good for WWE or those three at the moment, especially as Sheamus and Barrett are part of major storylines at the moment.

Of course these things can be worked out, and more than likely will be... but there could be weeks, or at worst months where these stars are off TV because of this.

Christ knows what they're going to do with the whole "Nexus" (NXT) thing as Barrett is supposedly the leader?

Sheamus hasn't been affected with it supposedly. Seems like he was more on top of it.

Barrett is sposed to be back this week also as its been sorted so we'll see.

Man, this Nexus storyline has the potential to be very good, but in stead the promos from the faces and heels last night felt so watered down :(
It's an attitude era story line, with PG era delivery :(

I really do prefer TNA now

To be honest I record Raw then fast forward all the way through it, I just find very little going for it. I can't see myself watching it properly anymore unless something drastically changes, it's just so dull.

I have a question for you "old" WWF fans of the late 80's if I may??

I started watching wrestling just around Summerslam '88 and have always wondered if, going into the pay per view, it was blindingly obvious that The Ultimate Warrior was going to take Brutus The Barber Beefcake's spot against The Honky Tonk Man for the IC title!?!?!?

It occurs to me that the Warrior was one of the brightest rising stars in the federation at the time and yet he didnt have another match scheduled for a major PPV!?!?

So in the build up, was the Warrior involved in any other feuds or was it common knowledge that he was slated to take the title???

Just something thats always bugged me!! :D

Cheers,

StevieP

Flair went to TNA, so they want to treat the WWE fans like idiots and think we'll forget he exists.

Yeah. Whenever someone did one of those chops, the crowd always went 'whooo!' no matter who it was. They would still do that no matter where Flair was, so the easiest thing to do would be to stop using them. Otherwise people might start wondering where he went, and go watch TNA!

Side note, the RAW GM... are they trying to make it painfully obvious who he is, or is it actually a double bluff? I'm leaning towards the latter, anyone heard any rumors on whatever websites you guys watch?

Watch "The Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior" video, you'll see why the WWE and Vince had problems with the Warrior.
