Fantastic. Utterly amazing.

Bryce has been learning a few things off her papa.

Man this just highlights how poor Bobba has been. Where did they pull that from.

Script was tight and and had some brilliant set ups. Hardly a min wasted.
 
Brilliant. Loved the nods from the previous movies.

Anyone notice when he was testing the new ship it looked like the same route, Anakin took during the pod race in episode 1.

great episode, feels like it’s starting to come alive now.

it was 100% from the pod race in EP1, the initial area with the animal, the narrow canyon and the ramp is where subulba(?) pushed a akin off the track we’re all nods to the second best part of ep1. The ship too of course, I really liked those fighters.
 
Brilliant episode, right from the start to the very end. I guess Bryce Dallas Howard has inherited some of her Father's genes when it comes to directing, just glad it wasn't his looks.

There was a few bits like that in the episode which I just had to kind of say to myself "it's for the kids". Otherwise it was interesting to see a bit more of the Starwars universe explored.

Personally I always thought Ron Howard did OK with Solo given what he had to work with - would be interesting to see the Howards have a go at a movie/TV series from scratch - I think they mostly get Starwars, mostly, unlike some of the other directors.
 
I like how the new ship has a droid port that is also suitable for a smol green thing... Does anyone know how many episodes remain? I wonder if they are going to dedicate an episode to each of the 'credits for good help' mercs that Bobba requires.

I got excited because the mechanic said "Beggars Canyon" and then the first thing we see is a womp rat, which led me to "I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home. They're not much bigger than two meters." I thought it was a reference to the original movie too, not TPM. Oh well.
 
It is a testament to how flipping awesome The Mandalorian is that this episode can make multiple references, physical artefacts and call backs to The Phantom Menace and you don't immediately feel the need to vomit uncontrollably.
