The Bourne Ultimatum

Yup this is one I've been waiting for. Loved the first two and from the trailer this looks just as good.
It helps having a good book rather than some hollywood scriptwriter to give the whole thing a backbone. Only the director/studio can make it a failure in my opinon.

The new Bond. They need to keep making these. It better not be the last!

Awesomeness! Can't wait to see this :D

Seen the first two on DVD and love them. A whole new meaning to the spy/thriller genre I think and Damon absolutely rocks in this role. Its really made him a superstar.

Proof? My Mum just mentioned the Bourne Ultimatum having its premiere this week and asked if the first two were any good.

Gonna try and see this soon. I take it this is out on general release from Friday?

Saw it in New York yesterday whilst waiting for my connecting flight.

Not as good as the first 2, there was almost too much action and not enough explanation of the plot.

Overall however, it was excellent. There was one particular fight scene about half way through that was truly spectacular.

Just got in.

Supremely good film. Loved it. :D

Finishes the story off nicely. There better not be a 4th - would **** with the story now.

Some annoyances - mainly with the filming and editing. Someone please buy the DP a steadicam! Also, not a fan of a lot of fast edits...

But, other than that. Beautifully done. Paul Greengrass seriously knows how to hold tension throughout the film - and in some films it doesn't work, it did work very well in this.

Matt Damon was great, really seemed to be into the role and had the feel of someone who could look around a room and spot anyone and who was watching them.

David Strathairn was creepy as hell and Joan Allen was again great as Pamela Landy.

It does help a lot seeing the first two, but knowing the plotlines would help a hell of a lot if you haven't seen them. Just gives you a bit of back story.

Go see it. :D

going by the books there is only 3 books done by robert ludlum, the other book The Bourne Betrayal written by Eric Van Lustbader is the worst in the series and is not even considered to be a bourne book at all its that bad, tbh i think they should leave it where its finished in the third film imho :)

Looking forward to it. I went on to read the trilogy after watching the first one. It took me well over a year to finish the them - it is a huge volume (3 in 1). By the time I had finished 2/3, it was still good but 3/3 was just so confusing, I lost plotlines and I was just interested in getting to the end. Still, hope it's a good movie - although the first 2 films had not even half of the respective books' contents.
