This may be a dumb question but on Windows 7 my task bar seems a bit taller than others, what have I done to it? Any way I can make it smaller?

Right click tasbar, untick "Lock Taskbar" and slide it down?

If you can live with the recycle bin as a small icon (right click - view - small icon) it will resize the bar to the regular size.
