Previews are what makes Windows 7 :/

I bet you get asked this all the time, but what FF Theme + addons are you using? ^^

also, how is your OCUK label displayed like that? It doesn't show like that on any of my browsers .. hmm

It's TwentyTen for Firefox :) The Ocuk favicon is one created by Tefal in GD, just paste this into a new Stylish style:

Code:
@namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);

/* === to hide ===
.tab-icon-image[src="http://overclockers.co.uk/favicon.ico"] { display:none!important; } */

*[src*="overclockers.co.uk"] {
background: url("data:image/vnd.microsoft.icon;base64,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") no-repeat !important;

I die a little inside whenever I see people with Windows 7 and not using the new taskbar how it was designed to be used and how more and more software devs are adding features in their software to make use of it too!

Waste of resources and gpu load tbh :\

Aero uses no GPU time and uses so little power than it's not wasting one iota of resources at all, you'd have to run some kind of synthetic benchmark to view any minute differences.

I suggest you actually research and learn how Aero works :)

I'd also be a bit wary of when you say Aero crashes and slows on "fully loaded" PCs, My PC is by no means a beefy i7 rig but it is fairly respectable (3.3GHz Q9550, 8GB DDR2, GTX-260, dual monitors) and I often encode videos, play games while background tasks run and have no such issues with crashing, in fact I cannot remember the last time my PC locked up or did anything that would cause me to think "hey, Windows is using up my resources here".

Either one of 2 things would be the problem with the fully loaded rigs you used, either they were bugged to begin with or they were low spec and fully loaded.

Sorry to be so harsh but I cannot accept any excuse where Windows Aero and Resources are put in the same paragraph where a modern PC is concerned.

Not going to get into an argument over this but since you boys don't use your PCs to max then it's fine ... as is the case on my laptop.

If I try this same setup on a fully loaded good spec machine where the GPUs and CPUs are at full load 24/7 then you'll find aero effects will cause the machine to crash.

See the problem yet ? ;)

So your machine crashes a lot and you blame Windows?

As Khaaan said above Aero uses nothing.

I can happily rip BD's to MKV, download and game at the same time and I'm on a lowly Q6600 @ 3.6.

it's a taskbar, is keeps my app icons where i can click them, it does the job i want, if the devs want to make everything have thousands of options available to the end user then fair enough.
