Is Exentia a complete n00b for organising this meet then realising he is busy?!

Not really. If i hadn't given up drinking, then i'd be more than happy to go, as much like you can drink until someone ugly is attractive, you can drink until even cheese is a shade better than painfully bad :) I just can't do it anymore i can't go out to a club where i hate the music, if the meet was during the week reflex would be a good place to go as at least they may play something half decent, but the que for there on a saturday is absolutely massive, and 80's cheese was at least ammusing.

I have no beef not going out as if i really want to go out that night i can just go out with my uni mates and go to club UK or something :)

Oh yea which spoons are you thinking of ? Hogshead ? Commercial rooms ?
 
OMG a Bristol OCUK convention :D w00t count me in and its on the weekend of my birthday :D

but there is noway im going to Oceana its way to expensive goto branigans if you want cheese. Specialy on a saturday night.

Spud mate you want to go to Base in easton top place for DnB visited it loads over the last 6/7 years

Wa-hey a meet in my old stomping ground.

Well, the Works is also a cheesy nasty ch4v magnet. Although it's cheaper than the glass and chrome monstrosity known as Oceana.

I suggest you keep an eye out to see if there's an oompah night at the Bierkeller or a School Disco at the Academy. Very silly.

I think the Horn and (s)Trumpet does DnB (or possibly RnB, same thing to an old fart like me) on Saturdays. Thekla would be the obvious place though.

If anyone gets lost the phrase you need is - Settee rowed, Werzatoo then? ;)

Like Baddass has said, things can be switched round on the night. A lot of it does depend on how the group of people feel at the time, in past meets there's been a slight change of plan, for example because no one feels like clubbing and are having fun just sitting in a pub, etc.

Not exactly like we'll be 'tough, we're going here between these hours and that's that' :p
 
Like kreeeee I can offer a room for one person if they are stuck with no where to sleep.

Closed down for a bit and then changed names and owners as the plod had enough of the crap, got donw after the evening post had a big front page story with a picture of what was basically a roit going on outside, where a few people got beat half to death.

I remember Evo being ok when i used to go there when i was about 15, they wern't too bothered about ID, but seemed to be bothered about letting ***** in. Never saw any trouble in the year or two i spent going there.

Where else have you been bud ? The works and evo were chav infested, which spread to walkabout a fair bit when evo was closed, then it reopened and they all went away again :)

Out of the "mainstream" clubs, i'd say two were infested with chavvies, but the rest aren't, and then you have all the others Lakota (if it's still going), Timbuk2, the Level, the Thekla, the station, warehouse, castros (if it's still going) Can't say i've ever had any problems at any of the clubs in brizzle, but i'd say most especially the proper clubs (not oceana and their ilk) are completely free of chavs and play damn good music ranging from quality Hip-hop, to good dance and good Drum and bass.
 
It'd be rude not to pop down the road to a meet, so I'm in for definite. :)

PS. Surely we have to take some of the visiting grockles to the Corrie Tap at some point! Would be a fairly good Sunday location for those of us not driving anywhere... Not so good for those driving though. ;)

Yes corrie tap! I still haven't been there. Everytime I plan on going something comes up!
 
Aw man, im looking foward to this now, since when has the works been shut?!

Walkabout is real nice in bristol, hardly any chav trouble makers and a real nice atmosphere, cheap if you get one of there cards aswell.
