I just use the Glaco cleaner and it has stopped the annoying streak where it seemed like the wipers had a bit of grit stuck; but I haven't really noticed any profound streaking. I don't think I've used the sealant tho tbh.

used glaco compound and ultra on my screen a couple of weeks back hasnt really rained near me since then so cant say how well its worked but previosly used rainx and turtle wax hydrophobic coatings so if it performs like them and lasts longer i will be very happy

My “Plush Drying Towels” from Turtle Wax turned up, they are actually the Liquidator Towels by the Rag Company.

It made drying the car effortless, managed to do the entire car without any smearing.

Double Sided Twisted Loop is a winner, why did I not get one sooner.

Picked up one of these for a little over £8 delivered following your post

I've also ordered a couple of these as I had a discount code for the TW website. Are these towels decent IRL? They seem to get good reviews anyway. I've been using the Halfords drying towels up until now but will be interested to see how these compare.

I find with the Halfords drying towels I need to use both (I have two of them) - first one is used to go over the entire car with a first pass, then I switch to the second fresh one to get rid of any remaining moisture/streaks.

Interesting to see if these TW/Liquidators will do the car in one go, with a single towel. Mind you, my M340i is a Touring so it's quite a large surface area to cover!!

I can usually dry off my Z4 with one towel, I guess it's car 'real estate' dependant :p

Try doing a Smart car! I once had a car wash guy tell me it was half a car and charge me £5 :D

I liked that car, basically 5 dips of the sponge to wash, one per side and one for the roof.

They are great, I have gifted 2 and kept one for myself which I’ve since used a couple of times.

I was impressed as it managed to dry my entire car whilst never reaching a point of being oversaturated which then leaves smears and smudges behind. It drives the entire car without the need to “wring” out the towel.

Admittedly I didn’t pay attention to the size and was expecting the more common larger towel but as it happens I prefer this size, much more manageable to use and drag over the paintwork.

As above really, after using the towel and considering the price paid I feel I’ve landed on a bargain… So that’s a compliment in itself.

The Rag Company are highly regarded for their quality towels research confirms.

I could do with one as mine have lost their ability to absorb like they used to. Really don’t want spend anymore money on car stuff though.

One thing to mention is if you wash them, like any towels avoid fabric conditioner as this coats the fibres (Not sure of the Science) but almost makes the towel water repelent initially reducing the absorbing nature of the fibres.

I tend to hand wash after falling victim to this as even without adding softener there must be some residue still in there affecting my car drying towels.

That is a large car! I would say it could give it a good go and if it did start to fall short I imagine one decent “wring” of the towel would do the trick.

They do a larger one which isn’t sold by Turtle Wax which is aimed at drying “2 Cars”

But as mentioned above, I think it would have no issues drying such car adequately.

Wait until Turtle Wax see all the traffic my post has created, they ought to affiliate me in some way :D
