Hmm, was bored earlier so decided to buy a random orbital polisher thing (Silverline), some Autoglym SRP and some clay and pads and towels and some sealant ... now to try my hand at polishing the car, when it all arrives :D

EDIT: Will also foam lance the wheel arches and engine bay along with the rest of the car

just ordered http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-and-drying/foam-lance-various-fittings/prod_371.html

and the Valet Pro - PH Neutral Snow Foam

Should have some fun with that!

anyone use thesse?

I went for both of the above roughly a year ago. Lance is still working sound - definitely a good buy!

The trick to good foam (i find) is use only a small amount of the snow foam (say a cm or two in the bottom of the bottle) and add a few squirts of shampoo in. Top up with warm water. :)

Looks good Moeks.

The only thing I will say is that Goldclass Wax, whilst it looks pretty good upon application, it doesn't last 5 minutes. You'd do well to invest in some decent hard wax or sealant.

blasted my accord today with my new nilfisk C120, even did the engine bay with some TFR.

will try to get a snow foam thingy for it soon.

lolwut.

I dry and polish my car with microfibre towels bought from Tesco.

I am happy with those, me happy with the results of a cheap but high quality MF?

Whoah....

A chamois is bad huh? :p

It's just that if there's still anything hanging around on the surface of your paint, a chamois will just drag it around where an MF cloth will eat it up to an extent and hopefully move it away from the surface of the paint.

It's not the end of the world as hopefully your car will be clean by that point anyway but a fluffy thing is better than a flat thing for drying and they're no more expensive.

thanks i will try that at the weekend!

Anyone suggest a really good interior glass cleaner please I have tried Fast glass not impressed. I have all my external glass cleaners but they are a pain to use on inside windows like the front.

cheers

^^ I find fast glass great, maybe its the cloth or paper you're using which is causing problems? Its a pain with microfibre but with paper towels (the kind of blue industrial ones) it works great!

Newspaper probably works too?

^^ yar I know people who use newspaper, we just have rolls of this blue stuff lying around so use that instead :)

Will also note that fast glass doesnt seem to get rid of hard water spots sometimes, but I pull out the Glass Polish after anyway which clears it.
