Get some alloy caps, or have they been nicked. So wanna go in one of these :)

Edit: did you have Toyo 888 from new that you replaced?

I might get some caps, I'm not too fussed about getting some though.

Originally if you went for the cage option, you also got 888s, however part way through production they changed it so you could have the cage but also the Michelin PS2s (which are standard fit on the R26) instead of the Toyos, which is what this had, so the front wheels, which I had changed recently, have Eagle F1 Assyms and the rears still the PS2s.

I hope to source another set of alloys in the coming months though which I will shod with some semi-slicks for track/summer use :)

Had been planning to sort my wheels for a while now, so finally got round to doing it today.

Car shampoo didn't work, pressure washer didn't work, auto glym custom wheel cleaner didn't work...so it was time for the wonder wheels, a paint brush, and about 4 hours, I used this Auto Glym alloy wheel sealant spray stuff too after cleaning, no idea how good it is or if it'll work, I hope it does though!

Managed to get pretty much all of it off, just some superficial spots here and there that I can live with!

Might get round to giving it a much needed clay this week if I'm not feeling lazy[/QUOTE]

I done mine yesterday with Bilberry and a brush. Pretty much all sorted but they're in for a refurb tomorrow.

i hadnt washed it since i got it 6 months ago, but at least it was clean when i got it.

one wash, one clay, another wash, one machine polish, hand polish and two coats of sealant.

wheels were washed and waxed and all the bright work was brightened up

i cleaned the leather yesterday and its looking prestine. really has come up well.

pics to follow, i feel dead

did a Hax0rz clean on my car yesterday...

...what is a hax0r clean you say? Well sir, can only really be done on a silver car as even when a bit dirty, it still looks the damn same. So, you just Fast Glass the windows and apply *generic blackening vinyl tyre stuff* on wheels and trim. BANG 5-10mins and you're car looks fresh off the production line! :D

I finally got a chance to try the Auto Gylm High-Definition wax that I bought last year. Certainly adds shine, moreso than any of the other waxes I own:

Well ...until you look a bit closer that is :p

I went and bought myself:

Meguiars wash mitt
Auto Glym Bodywork shampoo
Auto Glym Aqua dry chamois
Auto Glym Resin Polish
Auto Glym polishing cloths
and a couple of buckets

Should be enough to get me started :)

Well, I took most of this back as I needed the money, but I've just bought stuff again online now that I have the money, and got much more for only a little extra cost. I now have:

Meguiars wash mitt
AutoGlym Bodywork shampoo
AutoGlym Resin Polish
AutoGlym perfect polishing cloths
AutoGlym Extra Gloss Protection
AutoGlym Clean Wheels
AutoGlym Fast Glass
Meguiars water magnet drying towel
Dodo microfibre buffing cloth

I can't believe how excited I am about cleaning my car!! :D

Dunno what others think of these, but I think they suck :) They're fantastic for first use, but the threads fall off all the time, I dont think you can stick them in the washing machine as far as I know?

If you can change the order mate, switch for some more microfibres, if not, they are great, but expensive as for me they were kinda one time use. You get quite a few though!

I only have the one (came with my Auto Glym High Definition Wax), but I only use it for buffing off HD Wax, and so far it's been fine, not falling apart, not scratching, just great.

You can wash them by hand with cold water however. This is how I was my el-cheapo microfibres.

Maybe they changed the product, it was a couple of years ago I got them, came in a box, and looks like netting basically, but is really soft. Is that what came with the HD wax?
