Nilfisk C120 3-6 is what I use. My first and only pressure washer though so I've got nothing to compare it to!

And yep the Kew/Alto one is the right fitting :).
Awfully sorry; I managed to both read and take your advice, but completely forget to thank you for it.

Just what I've been looking for. Thanks for the link.

Is this better/equal/worse than the C120 2-6 that I had?
I think you'll be about the only person who can answer that one! Some of the places that stock the 2-6 show it as being the exact same unit (same shape, same spec) as the 3-6 but others show it as being smaller and with worse specs.

What did your 2-6 look like?

Has anyone found or can suggest any decent organisers for holding all of their various cleaning products? Most of mine are just sat in the garage on a shelf but I have noticed some products dont cope well with the coldness and the products seperate so want to keep some of it indoors.

Ideally I want some kind of open top storage box with seperators to store each product along with whatever microfiber cloth or applicator pad I use with it.

A hunt in the usual hardware type shops hasn't really come up with what I have in mind.

The picture above shows my solution up until I got all of the new kit.

An open-top 'tool bag' gave me the space to fit bottles in upright whilst still giving me plenty of pockets and space for the smaller items like tupperware for the clay etc.

I think the best solution would be the 'stacking boxes' you can get from IKEA etc, as they would have plenty of room for putting stuff in and with a lid you could put them on top of each other.

That looks like the C120 2-6 I've seen in most places, but certain others show the same unit as the C120 3-6 and list the same specs. The Nilfisk range confuses me - prices and specs seem all over the place.

Very interested in seeing what you get from Screwfix; they list the C120 3-6 as having a 1.7 kW Induction Motor, where everyone else says it's a Universal model.

We have a Nilfisk C120 2-6.
Great pressure washer in my opinion. Pretty quiet than a lot of others too.

I've never gone down the machine polishing route but this is what I do to mine when it has a major clean.

Rinse to remove grit etc
Wash with autoglym shampoo
Clay with sonus ultra fine and dodo juice born slippy
Wash to remove clay/lube residue
black the tyres
Polish with autoglym super resin.
Dodo Juice Lime Prime lite
2 coats of dodo juice purple haze wax
Dodo juice red mist to top up the gloss on the next washes

The results are in some photos on the dodo juice forum from a couple of years ago : photos of clean car

Cheers I spotted a reduced Dewalt open tote tool bag today in B&Q after your suggestion which is perfect with pockets and room for storing everything in some kind of order.

Hi

Some advice pleaee, I have a Volvo s80 with a deep blue metallic paint, I've just had a few bits painted and want to buff it up all nice, bought hd wax, clay bar and some bubble gum interior dressing, I have mer polish already and other bits and bobs.

Looking at the paint there are quite a few scratches and scuffs that could do with coming out, before I apply some quite dear wax I assume I could do with some proper machine polishing, question, is it ok to machine polish a metallic car ? What happens to the laquer coat?

I can hire a machine polisher but I will need pads, where is the best place and what ones do I need

Thanks

Autoglym fastglass says its good for interior plastics in the car aswell as I have run out of interior cleaner anyone used it on the inside?

13 posts above yours:

I use Autoglym Fast Glass on my interior plastics as it's also for cleaning the window glass, so it's just easier to use one bottle for both jobs. However I've not really used anything else so I can't really say if it's any good...it just cleans up the trim and returns it to a more factory looking state.

Spent a good half hour with a tooth brush cleaning the window seals today, strangely satisfying!

No time to wash the whole car tho(have to go out), annoying!

I ran out of BTBM so decided to try chemical guys citrus wash and gloss after reading about it on DW. Used it yesterday on the g/f's car and i've got to say i'm amazed by it. Diluted to 1:4000 (1.25ml in a 5 litre bucket) which doesn't seem to be enough when looking at it but it's done a cracking job. At that dilution ratio it should last a fair while as well.

Heres a link if anyones interested:

Ran out of Meguiars Last Touch and not had the chance to order any more.

Found some 'Astonish Spray n Shine' for £1 yesterday so bought it for no apparent reason.

What exactly is it? Is it a last touch alternative? Can I use it as claybar lubricant?

Can I use it for the sort of things I used Last Touch for - ie a nice final shine after a wash, removing watermarks, that sort of thing?

Or shall I throw it in the bin?

Seems to be a similar product for spray and wipe for a final shine. I use Meg's SpeedX (or whatever it's called) and it seems it can be used as a lubricant as can soapy water as well (for claying).

For a quid it will serve its purpose I guess as a an aftershave I mean wash.

My car was washed on Saturday morning so has looked deep and shiny until this morning when a salt sprayer coming down the opposite lane sprayed everything front facing and my wheel dishes with white crud.

Awesome.

I don't see the point in this Last touch detailer/spay.

Use a cheap sprayer with some warm water in and a dash of your shampoo, I'm talking a tiny dash. Works perfectly when claying!
