I don't see the point in this Last touch detailer/spay.

Use a cheap sprayer with some warm water in and a dash of your shampoo, I'm talking a tiny dash. Works perfectly when claying!

Last Touch can be bought for about £20 for 4L, which makes about 8L, its not exactly expensive, and does a great job for a lot of things, claying, aiding when drying, occasional detail spray, etc. Obviously can do that with shampoo, but you don't get the same consistency I find.

I mainly use it to finish off after a wash, removes all water marks and leaves a great finish. NOt sure water and shampoo would work.

Just use the 99p Astonish. It's not going to give any different results as the Megs that costs several £ more as mentioned.

Smells great too.

But you don't need to use it as clay lube as that's just expensive. Just drop a small amount in a spare bottle and fill it with water. That's all you need for lubricant.

I do however use Last Touch once i've finished claying that panel as it gets rid of the residue and leaves a perfectly clean panel ready for polish/wax.

I use valet pro ph neutral snow foam and it works great for me, their orange pre wash is also supposed to be pretty good as well.

Looking through DW this stuff doesn't get good write ups, looking at autosmart actimousse magifoam and the bilt hamber stuff, anyone got any experience of any of these on here?

Ran out of my super snow foam the other day so need a replacement, what is the best product nowadays, seems to be so many!

I use a combination of Megs APC and Hyper wash. A high concentration of APC is good if the car needs a good clean or if you want to strip off old wax etc.

Hyper wash for interim washing.

APC It's also useful for wheel arches, tyres, interior cleaning etc.

Hmm good point, but then again I don't use last touch detailer after the car has been washed. Might have to look into it as even after drying weel the car still has watermarks (using either Megs Gold Class wash or Carlack 68).

Spent the last week gradually sorting out my new bumper, badges, sticker and Dubmeister metal plates. Yesterday and today I finishing off the wheel cleaning and putting on another coat of wax, then had a play with the 40D + Tammy 17-50 and lightroom. OM NOM NOM :D

Engine still needs a full going over with brackets de-rusted and sprayed up and the letters on the cam cover sanded down, but nearly there!

General exterior
Carlack 68 + mitt
Megs 80 polish either by hand or silverline
Collonite 476
AG fastglass

Interior
Armour All + a cloth of cloths
Some glass cleaner

/Simples and cheap without silly detailing product scene tax.

Indeed, I'm also going to solely dwell on that, and not at all at the rest of the totally mint, spotless DC2 in those pics.

-Ad- you suck.

I'll go outside right now and fix it with 'matte mud' the new £100 tub from Zymol.

Sorry :(

Ad, how low and far back do you have your seats? Are you gansta? :p

Back condition, normally lower and I drive with an early learning centre periscope.........

See interior pic, think upright seats and photo angle ;)

Can't see **** on white for gloss/deepness :D

It's 'championship clotted cream' and I'm a complete noob with the DSLR :D

Note to self: Don't park next to a puddle at work.
I'd prefer that to the regular as clockwork concrete bird stools that keep turning up on mine. (they are like the post except more reliable)

Anyway, gave the car a good going over to give it the spring coat of wax.

Products used
Megs gold class shampoo + mitt
Megs ultimate compound polish by hand
Chemical Guys EZ Creme glaze II applied by hand
4 layers of Collonite 476s spread over a few days
AG fastglass
Gtechniq G4 glass polish + G3 coating on windscreen

Leave your pas wiper blade curled over night inside the house, it should rest nice and flush on the windscreen after that :p

Looks good though, nice and spotless.

Going to start cleaning mine tomorrow afternoon through to Saturday afternoon in time for a RR day on Sunday, will post pictures when I'm done, going to be a big clean, gonna try claying it. (Weather provided)
