Hey all, apologies if this has been asked before. Just used the last of my SRP last week. Does anyone have any recommendations for a polish to be used by hand on a dark green car, or shall I just stick with the SRP?

Also, how often should polishing be done? I've read that my Poorbooy's wax wears off in a matter of weeks, so surely not everytime the wax wears off?

Ta muchly :)

I've read Poorboys is one of the best for longitivity.

Just tried Nattys Wax, such an ease to apply and remove.

Last silver car I'll own though, she looks nice and clean but lacks the shine you get from darker colours.

Just making a shopping list for products. Not going to go overboard to get machine to polish, but want to do a proper job so have I miss anything here?

What wheel cleaners should I get or will the shampoo do?

Also, i seen photos of people tape up the edges of the lights and windows, is that for claying?

So far, with the above products + 6 micro fibre clothes, I have £100 worth of stuff in the basket, that's with 3 for 2 offer!

Dang!

For someone starting off with the products etc, I cannot recommend Autoglym Aquawax enough! So easy, smells fantastic, and no white marks on anything, even seems to do good by the rubber seals!

Its so quick I use it every fortnight without fail. When I used SRP and EGP... it was just a pain with the white dust etc everywhere plus I wasnt convinced it lasted that long for all the effort put in. I guess I'm a lazy mofo!
