You're supposed to buff it off afterwards like you do polish/wax on paintwork once it sets in!

All sorts of win:

I've got a problem. Parked in the wrong place at the wrong time a few days ago and came back to find a milky white liquid had dripped onto the top of my windscreen and ran all the way down and subsequently dried. Didn't really think anything of it at the time, but after washing the car today I can still see where the liquid was/still is as if it's eaten its way into the glass and left a permanant mark.

No amount of scrubbing with a generic glass cleaner seems to shift it. So, i'm turning to you guys and girls to recommend something I can use to get rid of it.

Which products used there MikeHiow? need to show mine some TLC soon.

Gtechniq P1 on their wool and finishing pads, finished off with a 3M finishing pad on a DA (It would appear that you cannot bake fibreglass, so the paint is ridiculously soft and thus a royal **** to refine)

It's been a nice test for my new Flex Rotary and introduction to a DA in the form of a DAS-6 Pro.

Anyone have any feedback on Swissvax products? Just put together a list and it's come to just under £300 but that is for everything, wheels, cloths, engine bay products, outside of car, inside of car, storage bags, etc.

I could do with a refresh of all my car cleaning stuff as it's a bit of a mixture and I'm at the stage where I need to start replacing worn mitts, old cloths and empty containers. Would be nice to perhaps get a full range.

So...any Swissvax users? :)

It is good stuff. They are also bringing out their own DA pad at some point in the not too distant future.

I like the DAS-6 Pro, but it took a while to get used to the vibrations (for the first hour my hand was still shaking after I turned it off!) and it is ridiculously noisy - especially compared to the Flex. I've got to give it the thumbs up for it's finishing abilities though - I actually bought it for sanding, but it saved me today!

What do you guys recommend to dust the inside with?

Also how should I go about washing the exterior? I have access to a powerwash but I think I'll probably just use a standard house pipe.

I'm thinking about just shampooing then waxing...opinions?

I am a fan of Autoglym Vinyl & Rubber care. If you put loads on and leave it before wiping then you'll get a glossy finish (which I don't like) but a small amount on a microfibre cloth seems to do a nice job.

Got all my stuff now apart from the HD wax which hasn't arrived yet!

Was planning on cleaning the car today.....is it still worth claying and polishing then using aquawax instead? I don't want to have to clay it again next weekend when I get the HD wax!

Any suggestions on how to clean my leather seats? I always used AG leather balm on my old car but my new car has perforated leather which I assume is going to retain the cream... What else could Iuse?

Cheers :)
