I use AG Fast Glass, I have got some Carlack polish and sealant but since fitting silicone wipers blades I haven't used it as they leave a coating that gives the same beading/self clearing effect.

Would you wax every time you use Snow foam?

I'm asking coz my dad has a pressure washer that he doesn't use, so i'm going to borrow it and try some snow foam! (That means I need a lance :( )

No, most wax 6 monthly. Using a low concentrated snow foam will remove a vast amount of dirt that sits on top of the wax. It still removes a thin layer of wax every time you let it dwell, but not enough to warrant another wax.

What do you lot use to clean/polish your windscreen?. Do you use anything on the wiper blades themselves?.

I use this on my windows Wurth Active Glass Cleaner, mainly because it's free (stock from when my brother worked for them), and secondly it's very very good. Removes any marks, and is very very quick.

RainX is a horrible product to use, it can cause streaky windows in heavy rain. Which limits your visibility.

For the wipers, i normally use my drying cloth at the end of cleaning, as it will be a little damp and wipes off all the gunk easily. If the wipers are greasy/oily, then use a clean cloth with vinegar, then wash off with warm water.

Thread need pictures of clean cars.

Mine is dirty atm, got editing to do.
Exterior is all wet from today's random heavy showers  but interior:

318 doesn't get soundproofing under the bonnet? Looks well but I can't believe you stuck with that tragic engine for so long.

Sadly the longer you keep it the more the benefit of having a good one thats mint begins to outweight the benefit of upgrading to a better engine.

I cannot imagine there are many 330Ci's out there that look as good as his 318Ci.

What does the soundproofing look like? There is a padded black covering under the lid which can just be seen but I've never had problems with noise in the cabin even at high motorway speeds, just hear wind and road noise and nothing else.

I've stuck with it because of the exact reason Fox mentioned above. It's not all doom and gloom as many would try to make out though, the engine might not have power low down but keeping it worked yields acceptable results, not for fuel economy but I haven't been concerned about that for the good part of a year now. So yeah, dropping a gear or two is necessary for the 2 litre engine :p

Engine aside, handling is the trump card of any E46 Sport :)

I know of one, a woman at work owns it, the same one that also has an Audi S3.

She prefers the Audi as it is FWD.

Her 330ci is a 4 door saloon 07 plate (whatever E numbers it is), full BWMSH, in your favourite colour with cream interior with M sports pack, I can't be certain if it is Auto or Manual, I vaguely recall it is manual. Sadly there is no nav. She keep going on about selling it and get an A5 but it hasn't happened yet.

How do you know its not in good condition, you've never seen it :p

Fair enough on the second point though, I forgot how old mrk's 318 is at times. (credit to him)

The E90 interior isn't to my liking at all though, lower quality compared to an E46, doors are too light, plastics hollower, buttons feel less good etc.

If it wasn't for that then I'd have no problem at getting an E9x as a lot out there exist in great condition but it wouldn't feel like an upgrade build quality wise.

What has any of this got to do with anything? It's not the same car and the 'c' in 'ci' stands for 'coupe', which it can't be if it is a saloon.

Nobody is saying 2007 and newer cars are hard to find in good condition. We are talking about 2003 cars!

Therefore finding a much newer version of a different car and saying its in good condition is totally irrelevent.

Ok. Hands up I forgot how old mrk's car is, I already said that, I didn't know it is 2003, I don't study the history of BMW, nor can read past his private plate or googled it, I am sorry!

How many times do you want me to admit I am wrong, I didn't know the C stands for coupe either.

/breath and ignore.

Lol

Anyway, you probably think why am I saying all these stupid things, well...because I don't know they are stupid things Lol and it's better to be wrong and learn from them than to be wrong and £10k or £20k down. Learn from the mistakes I say.

At least I now know wha the C in ci stands for now :)

What do you see yourself upgrading to next ?
