Has anyone used Ammo NYC stuff for cleaning the car? I've been watching some of Larry's videos and they are pretty informative.

Larry's videos are great, you can tell he really enjoys what he does and he details some incredible machines. I have never really cared for my cars cosmetically before but after watching his videos I have ordered loads of stuff and going to get at it soon.

thanks I have the trim , ill use that tomorrow then for the external plastics and rubber seals (like around the doors)

what's good for the interior then ? , I was thinking of getting the interior shampoo to do the dash ? or shall I use the vinyl and rubber care?

AG Interior Shampoo can be used on pretty much any interior surface. I use it as a dash cleaner because it doesn't leave any residue behind so leaves everything with a clean matt finish.

If you want things to look shiny, Vinyl and Rubber Care is fine for interior plastic. You can control how shiny depending how long you leave it on for. It's also great on door seals and stops them sticking when cold.

It needs to be a limescale type remover. So anything that removes limescale.

Seems to have done the job with the stuff I find under the sink. Put it back together just now and the spray pattern is nice and wide again. Didn't put foam through it, just hot water, but think it's done the trick. Cheers!

I have a foam lance from Direct Hoses, which I believe is the same lance sold by Autobrite Direct and others. I have used it approx 20 times. Haven't been overly impressed with it since day one. So I decided to strip it and clean the gauze with neat descaler for about 15 minutes. Now it foams like an extra from Frozen!!! Well impressed :)

I don't have any at present, I have some cheap Halfords interior stuff, which I don't really want to use, I guess I might throw them away

Anyone recommend something to keep the exhaust tail pipes clean?
Could never se my MK4 Golfs exhaust but my MK7 pipes are, at the moment, shiny!

Gave it a good going over with SRP, then a coat of EGP and finished with Poorboys Natty's blue.
Great job, looks fantastic.

I'm addicted to the smell of that blue paste! Looks good enough to eat!

I often find the custom made lances need a bit of PTFE tape on them as mine leaked like a bucket initially - bit of PTFE and it's brilliant.

Good point on the descaler, probably something I should do.

This is why I try not to park under trees :(
It's even on the tyre!!

What are people's thoughts on a California Duster, for dusting the car down in hot weather, when the sand/dust covers your car? Chance of scratching or safe?

I would not use a duster.

Best thing you can use in that situation is give the car a rinse off and then use a quick detailer or even a spray wax while drying the car with a microfibre towel, going in straight lines, and turn the towel over when/if it starts to get dirty (which it most likely will do near the bottom of the car...). :)

Obviously if the car is splattered with bugs then a proper wash would be better.
