I've got you all beat on the bird poop.... a PELICAN as I'm driving over the bridge... it was like someone had thrown an entire can of white emulsion on my windscreen

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

Came out to my car this morning to find a cigarette butt on the bonnet. Assuming someone wouldn't do that on purpose (around here at least) and my guess is someone flicked it out the window of a van/lorry or something and it ended up on my car. :(

Couldn't see any damage at first due to condensation over the car this morning but once I got to work I saw this. I am going to give it a wash, maybe bit of polish later but doubt this will do anything...any ideas? thanks

I've posted this elsewhere and will see how I get on tonight.

Had a cigarette burn on my car someone had done, looked a lot worse and polished out easily with a rotary! :)

May take a good bit of effort by hand though

The Dragonsbreath is awesome... works really well.

Used the window cleaner, leather cleaner & conditioner, full clean, polis and wax and it looks better than new... so of the stuff i've tried so far, it's all done a good job :)

Haven't taken any piccies yet.

£20 for a bucket seems a little OTT when I'm sure they can be had from a pound shop!

Do you really need so many expensive cloths as well.. Maybe one big drying towel and a pack of cheap MFs IMHO.

Also why Sonax QD if you're getting the Chemical Guys Pro Detailer?

Not sure I'd bother with the wheel guard either - I've yet to use a wheel wax / sealant that makes any real difference to either dirt accumulation or the ease of cleaning.

Well washed and attacked the bonnet with SRP by hand and buffed off. Couldn't see the mark but with not much sunlight it was hard to tell. Guess I'll check in the morning.

So max for the BMW, Chem Guys for the Porsche... Haven't tried either... Thought I'd give them a go.

It is a nice quality bucket... Cheap crap annoys me. The other one is cheaply thing, I wanted this one with a well fitting dirt filter rub thing at the bottom :p

I fancied some extra huge cloth things... I can easily use two of the big ones in one go. I have quite a few small cheap microfibre cloths that do a good job.

Again with the wheel wax... I haven't any experience yet other than first application... It's given them a nice mild dreamy pearly haze to the shine after application and buffing off... Will see how it continues, I may or may not buy again... We will see.

There are plenty of good wheel guards out there - Autoglym alloy wheel seal for example. Gives a lovely glaze when on, removes some dirt you couldn't even see was there and leaves a lovely layer that stops any of the grime sticking so that it just wipes off.
