Hi Chaps
The window rubbers on my car are starting to go green and mouldy, i'm going to have a bash at cleaning them up at the weekend but is there a product available to protect them a bit after cleaning? I remember spraying some silicon spray on a previous car more to aid the window operation but it kept leaving a smear on the window every time it was raised/lowered

cheers

Benefit to using something like Poorboys Wheels Sealant is it takes no time at all with warm soapy water to clean off a couple weeks worth of brake dust and grime.

Are there any stand out products for cleaning leather, seats and steering wheel?

Already have autoglym leather care stuff and raceglaze leather cleaner and leather balm.

I wish i could only get that much dust on my wheels after a few weeks :( Mine are caked with crap after a week!

Steam cleaner and some G101. You can buy a reconditioned Vax S5 for £45 so is hardly a big outlay.

Gives you that lovely matt finish and removes all that horrible shine.

Carpro Inside. Look at the results online. The LEATHER20 discount code may still work kn the carpro site too.

Thanks, will take a look at these.

Though car is 3 weeks old, probably dont need a steam cleaner yet. :p Just want to keep on top of it.

My tin of Collonite was looking a bit depleted last time I washed, but in tidying the garage I found a bottle of Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax 2.0 that I'd forgotten I had, so the car got a proper good clean today - washed, waxed, glass cleaned and rear glass/mirrors treated with Gtechniq G1. Even gave the exhaust tips a polish with Autosol (phenomenal product) and put a splash of wax on those, too.

Forgotten why I stopped using NXT. Seems pretty good, have a feeling it helps cleanse the paint a bit and hide swirls. Certainly seems to add a bit of depth to the paint. Perhaps not as hard as Collonite.

Protip - if your waxing/polishing a white car on a day like today, be careful if the sun comes out whilst you're working on a large panel like roof or bonnet...

Still, at least the weather failed to properly troll me today - started to rain just as I finished buffing the glass. Get in :)

Might update with pics later to see how the NXT comes out. Still raining at the moment though.

Edit: Still raining. Dose beads doe.

Apparently the halfords mitt is for polishing only, is this correct?

Bilt hamber auto wheel - used on cakes front wheels and agitation was required before and after. Probably wasn't helped by the fact that they need a refurb.

On the lightly soiled rear wheels it was another story though, as they worked a treat. I'd still say agitation is required.

To combat this in future though I could utilise a wheel sealant and regular cleaning.

As for the wool mitt it's not the smoothest action, but definitely soft and holds a lot of water.

One thing that came out on top was sonax bsd as even after a month, it helped clear all dirt with a rinse and leaves the car smooth after washing. I was tempted to apply some more but thought nah I'll leave it till next time to really test its longetivity.

Cleaning protecting Vinyl Hoods?

Replaced my old knackerd split one yesterday with a second hand but in extremely good condition hood and I'd like to keep it that way.

I know a few people have recommended Renovo for Mohair, should I just grab the Renovo kit designed for Vinyl or something else?

Guys wondering if you can help me out.

Looking for a top paintwork correction polish that can be applied by hand (on a white car).

Paintwork is looking a tad swirly and needs some attention. I do have super resin but I hate using it because it's really hard to see where it dries!
