Oh, where did you get your lance from on offer? I have a Nilfisk C140 and I'd quite like a lance for it.

Edit: Oops, I was too late and Armageus had already responded!

eBay the lence, they're £16 or so for brass + plastic same as the more expensive ones. Had mine for a while and no issues.

On that note, washed my car and waxed with poor boys.. much easier to work with than collinite 476.

The latest version of the C110 (and likely other Nilfisks) uses the Nilfisk Gerni connector (as opposed to the more common Nilfisk Alto)

I have this Snow foam lance with my C110, which works well:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00O9XPX1A/

The foam bottle it comes with is a waste of time - it doesn't produce any actual foam.

Also with your C110, you may want to order the Auto nozzle (if you haven't already - as it didn't come with any of the different C110s when I bought mine):

Cheers, is the auto nozzle essential then - not seen it mentioned before around the car forums and the c110 seems universally used!?

That's the wrong fitting for the C110 (or at least the new ones)

The auto nozzle has a wider slightly lower pressure spray to avoid damaging paintwork. One of the nozzles the c110 comes with is definitely unsuitable for cars - the other you could probably manage with if you are careful.

My audi dealer offers to wash my car every Saturday for the lifetime of my ownership :)

with a sponge that was left on the floor for the past week haha!

I'd never allow dealers to wash my car no matter how cheap it is, no one is going to treat it as well as the owner does.

and stuff paying for professional paint correction :o

I purchased this one - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282098841729?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

I used it with ProKleen Cherry Snow Foam on my very old Karcher K2. Was pleasantly surprised as I used a 4:1 ratio (200ml of snow foam with 800ml of water in the bottle) when the packaging says 1:1 ratio as the foam still had body at that ratio. Next time I will go 3:1.

I also then used the same lance with my Simoniz shampoo in a 9:1 ratio and that also produced a nice lather.

So for £16 I think I got a good lance.

About 8 weeks without a proper clean minus hosing it down about 3 weeks ago but did not top up with anything at all.

Sonax BSD still doing its thing. (but also give credit to a coat of Collinite 845 as the base layer)

Really? I've always used the nozzles my 110 came with and had no issues.

My 110 came with the Tornado nozzle (short stubby one), and the Powerspeed nozzle.

The tornado nozzle is about a 20 degree fan spray, and is still fairly powerful - but useable with care.

The powerspeed nozzle rotates the water as it exits and is designed for stubborn dirt (e.g. Patio slabs) and is likely powerful enough to strip paint.

The Auto nozzle is an approx 80 degree fan spray, at a lower pressure specifically designed for washing cars.

(The bigger Nilfisks also have a Vario nozzle, which should be ok when set to low pressure)

My C110 came today and I've been having a go on it, the foam thing is pretty useless as the foam does not stick as suspected so most of it runs off - worth a go but 100% ordering a proper lance!

The actual pressure washer part is great, cars were filthy with plenty of green growth in the trim lines etc but all blasted away - I got quite into cleaning and ended up with my clay bar out getting years and years of tar off the paint and I now have one panel all waxed and gleaming!! All good practice for new car!

Spec me a splattered bug remover... I'm doing more long distance trips now - averaged 300 miles a weekend in the past few months, impressive for a full time PhD student (with no real chance to wash car in between) so I'm committing mass genocide all over my bumper and mirrors and they are getting baked on. I would simply clay it but I don't feel like claying my car every fortnight (RIP claybar) so something I could throw in the boot along with a MF cloth would be ideal.

If there is nothing 'reasonably' priced then I guess I'll suck it up and clay it more.

I use one of those for cleaning the front bumper and windscreen when washing the car.

Have just ordered the autoglym bug remover, so will let you know how I get on when it arrives.

Please and thank you! Thanks for the link Conscript, I'll bear it in mind next time Halfords have a 3 for 2 :) Was hoping for a solution that didnt require a full wash though, hopefully Armageus will find the AG Bug Remover will be as good as the rest of their range!

You could just wet the sponge? Or keep a spray of quick detailer with it in the boot.
Also, yes, the AG Bug Remover stuff is pretty good. Forgot about that.
