What have people found the most effective way to apply BSD? Last time I sprayed onto a microfibre towel to apply and then buffed off with the reverse side, but afterwards when it rained it seems that the application was fairly uneven...

wax on wax off :p

Maybe leave to dwell for a few seconds, as it tends to drip down on its own.

Usually a few squirts per panel seems to do the trick.

If it is the Sonax BSD then spray loads onto a panel and spray a bit of water onto it and then buff off using a MF. Works well on my white car

Spray on the panel, spread with microfiber cloth and buff off.. works fine that way.
Got my 2nd bottle of it, out of all I've tried it seems to last the longest. Haven't applied any as I'm trying to stick with carpro hydr02 as that is awesome.

I mist the panel with product (decant it into a decent bottle) and spread with a low pile microfibre, and then buff with a buffing towel.

Think I managed my quickest ever wash yesterday, just a rinse down, shampoo with lambs wool mitt and 2 buckets, rinse off, dry and quick detail spray.

Probably helps it got a thorough clay, polish and wax last week, but being black it shows up every bit of dirt and crap from the rain. That and I work near a big yard that gets lovely and dusty...

Yeah it can be effective even after 3/4 months.

I also plan on using carpro hydr02 next.

Gave my car a bit of a clean at the weekend as it was looking scruffy.

Quite please for 35 minutes work (just soak, foam, wash with mitt, aqua wax and dry).

I've ordered a brand new car and have been offered a reduced price on Gtechniq Platinum treatment to protect the car. Anyone have any experience of this treatment? Seems to be a dealer only thing. I'm going to ask exactly who will do it (think it will be a pro detailer, not dealer staff).

On my last car I had stonechip protection film, and it kinda looked ugly up close (professionally applied as expected though). I was thinking a protection treatment may be more comprehensive and a better spend. Welcome any thoughts from experience...

Spent 3 hours on mine today, scrubbed up well and amazed how easy it is to clean after my detail. It was plastered in flys and frankly a snow foam followed by jetways off removed them all, I didn't need to wash it further though I did wash it as well and dry it off.

14k miles? Doesn't seem like a lot unless you bought i recently? Unless I'm missing the humour/something?

Not a lot compared to a Mondeo perhaps, but for a supercar it equates to about 15K in depreciation in 14 months. Most people with cars like this don't use them, I use my cars and unlike most supercars out there I don't give them a haircut.

Does anyone know of a product that I can spray onto the car then rinse off? Whilst doing so applies a wax layer or protection layer?

I swear I have seen something like it but can't find it anywhere.

Thanks
