What did you use to clean them up? Mine need doing really badly.

Also I'm sick of swirl marks. Best course of action to remove them? I'm going to be clashing my car at some point, have the clay just not the time ATM, so this will remove all my contaminants and wax.

Guessing I'd go my regular clean (magifoam soak then two bucket and mitt) clay the whole car, polish with a DA to get rid of swirl marks then wax?

Last time I waxed I done it by hand but I'm tempted to pick up a DA as polishing by hand looks to be a right PITA.

So a decent Da recommendation and pads for both polishing and waxing as well as a decent polish? It's for a black car too so a decent polish for black would be nice.

Used the Meguiars Headlight Restoration kit, liked the drill attachment concept for sanding discs etc so went with that. Top tip though is put masking tape down (low tack detailing tape if poss) and then duck tape over the top which will be much stronger against sanding disc etc. Did that after hearing of people going through the masking tape on their cars

As Havana said the CYC kits are good I got my DAS6 Pro from there, I use it with chemical guys hexlogic pads and so far have only used mezerna polishes but quite happy with them tbh :)

Cleaned up the headlights on my S2000 at the weekend and really chuffed with the outcome :)

Those look fantastic now. I bet they make the car look years younger.

Sadly in pictures the headlights never looked too bad so can't see a true before/after but I'm amazed at the difference it's made to be honest, really has taken some years off the car asthetically :)

I'll have a look at the CYC ones. Is it worth going for the pro over the normal one?
I've never used either so couldn't comment, but I suspect that for the, presumably limited, use you'll be making of it (you're not a professional detailer I assume) it's not worth splashing out over the normal one.

Anyone have any ideas how i can get my hood clean?

I've literally spent the last 2 hours scrubbing away at it, and if anything it looks worse than what i started!

Tried a coupe shampoos yesterday, Gary's perfect soap and choccy wash.
Wasn't that impressed with Gary's, I feel I should have used more soap.
But choccy wash impressed me, good suds good slip and decent cleaning power.

Just don't wash the car on an empty stomach, it'll have you running for a choccy bar.

my R scrubbed up after over a month without cleaning. Only took 3.5 hours.

Today was the perfect weather to actually clean the car.

Cleaned mine before Gaydon motor festival today. Impressed with the autobrite stuff. Endurance on the trim and tyres and quick rinse this morning to get the pollen off before going over the car with project 32 LSP, great gloss!

What have people found the most effective way to apply BSD? Last time I sprayed onto a microfibre towel to apply and then buffed off with the reverse side, but afterwards when it rained it seems that the application was fairly uneven...

I tend to spray onto a panel/half a panel and then spread all over, then buff with separate microfibre.
