See above, more is better, I would go more than they suggest which makes a thick and strong foam that hangs around for minutes.

Agreed - I followed the letter but just wasn't enough. I did the 2" it said, and filled the rest up, so close to a 1-4 ratio, think it needs to be 1-3 at most :)

You only live around the corner housey, you need to show me the R8 before you bin it! ;)

I have the same one, it's really good. Also 5mm of liquid can make all the different between falls off in seconds and minutes. I use more than they tell me I should, but for me it creates a much better foam.
Will take that advice, looking forward to seeing how well it cleans the BMW this afternoon... Sod the other Sunday chores I'm focused on the car today :D:)

Is that safe to use on the inside of screen (it's heated too). ? I do have some but not sure if that's a good idea?

I am not a chemist and I haven't used it on glass, but I don't see why it wouldn't be in moderation. It's petroleum based and evaporates very quickly. I'd put a dab on a rag first and try rubbing it off. Once it's removed, wipe over again with a damp soapy cloth.

Does snowfoam tend to 'overspray' very far / much?

Having only been able to afford a lowly semi detached property, my driveway is fairly close to next door and whilst I like the idea of getting a pressure washer and snowfoam attachment, it probably wouldn't go down too well if I end up snowfoaming the car/house next door too :p

Depends on technique really and how powerful your jet wash is. The main issue is when spraying the sides as it can go over the top of the car and quite a distance. If you are very tall I would assume this isn't really a problem, but as I am not...it can be an issue!

So I bit the bullet last night and picked up a DAS-6 Pro from cleanyourcar along with the Sonax kit and some Dojo Juice Lime Prime.

Hoping to get a chance to get started over the next few days.

Snow foam
2 bucket wash
Clay
Wash
Polish using DA and try some different cuts
At this stage should I use the Lime Prime prior to waxing?

I also have some Collinite 476 wax, is it possible to use this with the DA?

Any recommendations or changes you make to the stages?

Cheers.

Yes, post paint correction you want to make sure all residues from polish/compound is removed. IPA or CarPro Eraser. Not sure what you have Lime Prime for, I certainly wouldn't use that post paint-correction, if at all...utterly pointless product. Its job is to remove old layers of wax before you apply a new one; problem is thats what claying and paint prep does. After paint correction there is no wax left, only minor oils and residues - and I certainly wouldnt want to be smearing microabrasives into my paint for no reason after just corrected it.

You can use 476 with the DA, but its wont be any quicker, and is likely to sling everywhere. Just apply by hand as normal.

Excellent thanks for the feedback. Ok I'll send the lime stuff back and order the ether CarPro stuff. Do I use that just prior to polishing?

Edit - After polishing to remove residue prior to waxing?

I'm slowly starting to accumulate bits. So far I have; two buckets, microfibre cloths, microfibre drying towel, microfibre wash mitt, wheel brush, Autoglym Interior Shampoo and Autoglym Vinyl & Rubber Care.

Next on the ever growing list; pump sprayer, snow foam and shampoo. I'm also going to buy a handheld hoover as the car resides in an underground car park.

Also, what do you guys recommend for tyre shine/blackener and exhaust cleaner/polish?

Does yours have the standard M135i exhaust? If so it's painted tips so just wash it as usual.

I use Chemical Guys SRP for the tyres (and all plastics/rubbers). It gives a nice black look but not too shiny.

Anyone know a good product to use for stripping everything off a car, I used to have some chemical guys citrus stuff which I could wash on or snowfoam on but can't seem to find it for sale anymore, will be claying after I wash it as well anyways, but would rather have something applied first. Gonna give machine polishing and sealing a try during my time off so want to strip whatever is on the car now (probably not a lot tbh) away first.
