Autobrite snow lance is far superior to any other product. Cheap ebay lances arent the same.

Id recommend Bilt hamber snow foam or Autobrite magifoam.

Highly recommend the Autobrite snow foam lance. Really well made piece of kit...if only my karcher pressure washer was made to same quality standard. :o

Just been reading back through this thread and I've noticed people have mentioned these sealants you can spray on. @Gibbo mentioned one that looks incredible, CarPlan stuff? Sorry if somebody else has mentioned and I'e missed it.

This stuff looks like what I am looking for. Do people still rate it?

I'm assuming best process is:

snow foam pre-wash -> two-bucket clean -> CarPlan application
Is this a good idea?

I have used Auto Finesse Aqua Coat for new Mustang and wife's A6 this week. Pressure Wash, Snow Foam, 2 Bucket Wash, Rinse, Apply Aqua Coat, Rinse Off, Dry.

So far its worked well.

I have however found a couple of spots on the wifes black A6 bonnet that have suffered from the dreaded bird poo etching. Without going insane and buying DA's and wet sanding is there anything I can do to remove? I have heard about people heating with a heat gun/hairdryer to try and take it away a bit but worried about screwing the paint more.

How bad is it will be the key point, if its very minor topcoat, then a simple abrasive polish like g3 will do, but if its cut in then the only way out is sanding.

I did try it with a bit of Scratch Remover on a foam pad but probably not enough cut on the pad. Its not rough to the touch. I did get them off as soon as she told me they were there but probably there a day or 3 in the sun. I'll have a go with some cutting polish and a mf pad or something. See if it takes it out. I may pop it to a detailer and see how much to try and get them out before considering something like a smart repair on the area.

Hi guys, went to clean my 66 plate white corsa today and noticed what appeared to be "rust" spots all over the car, they do wipe off with some elbow grease, any ideas whats best to clean them off? They look horrible, also a good spray tar remover anyone can recommend? I'm not impressed with with the AG one. Cheers

Get some Iron-X or equivalent product for removing the “rust” spots. I’ve used Dragons Breath before and that should pull that out.

Also for most things I’m becoming a big fan of Auto Finesse products recently. May not be absolute best per product but work well and easy to shop on 1 brand. I also really like their cherry scented snow foam.

That said I’m going for a CG V7 and Sonax BSD mix for QD/LSP based on comments on detailing world.

I've got some dragons breath, is that safe to use on paintwork?

So I double bucket wash my car with Meguiars ultimate wash n wax then clay bar (bilt hamber) and then applied Bilt Hamber double speed wax .... My god the paint work feels like glass now :)

Cleaned the wheels with dragons breath and dressed with M3 tyre restorer .... Need to clean the glass with auto finesse crystal glass cleaner...

Still prefer the Bilt Hamber wheel cleaner so going back to that after I've finished the DB
