Got to use the RaceGlaze filter on the weekend. Living in London the water is always leaving deposits. I washed as usual and did a quick final rinse with filter connected to Pressure washer and then just left the car to dry and not a single mark. Very impressive :)

I know right, im surprised more people dont get them, it makes the job 100x more enjoyable when you arent racing against the spots.

Finally bought a Nilfisk C120.
Assembled, set up, water on, check for airlocks, power on, dead as a doornail.
Changed fuses, changed plug sockets, still dead as a doornail.

Amazon tech support confirmed dead as a doornail and now I have to wait for another one to show up.

I finally managed to use some of the Sonax products I bought a while ago, the most interesting I wanted to try was the polymer shield, it goes on kind of strange but seems quite easy to use. Sadly I can't comment on it's water repelling ability as it's not a daily driver and I haven't seen it wet yet!

Yep, as normal. What wont dry? The wax? It will still cure and haze over, if thats what you mean. Its still 17'c in the afternoons so hardly cold yet. Even when it gets colder most will stick be fine, might just need more time and then be a touch harder to work.

17 degrees?! Jesus. It's not gotten over 9 here for a fortnight!

I shall give it a go. It's currently a toasty 8 degrees, not accounting for windchill.

I just imagine both water and wax won't dry quickly. I was considering a mini-detail, just claybar and wax, no correction.

Polished and waxed mine today after having fitted the remaining new front wing - it's actually 12 months old, but I've only just got around to getting it fitted. I wanted to get that side of the car looking a bit more uniform as the new wing hasn't been exposed to the elements like the rest, naturally I ended up doing the whole car. Wouldn't say it was any more difficult than trying to do the same job in the summer. Could have done with a full decontamination before the polish and wax, but I've got other things to do on the car that are more important so it'll have to do.

Got some Koch Chemie Green Star, some detailing brushes, a lambswool mitt and Gtechniq G6 from Amazon with some gift cards that I've accrued over the last 12 months. Mainly because I've stuck to the same stuff for quite a while now so thought I'd give some different products a try. Even pretty diluted Green Star seems to do a decent job of removing a lot of the dirt from the car as a pump spray pre-wash so considering its price and how long it'll last I'm happy with that. Haven't used the brushes or mitt yet, but I'll see how Gtechniq G6 has done tomorrow when I need to look out of the windows.

Best way to restore headlights?

I've previously used the 3M kits (wet sand and polish) but was wondering if there were any better kits/methods available?

The headlight restoration wipes seem like a farce!

With wet sanding. 800 grit, 1200 grit, then either spray some 2k clear on them; 1k clear will work too, but wont be as resistant. Alternatively you can sand again at 1600, 2000, 2500 and then polish with a good compound and seal with a UV protectant product (ceramic coatings, as an example) - but this takes much more effort and wont last as long, requiring frequent retreating.
