I need some of that in my life, where and how much?

Drying my car is a total nightmare, takes at least half an hour atm, I need something much faster.

Couple hours of cleaning, rinse and polish. 2bm with autoglym shampoo and super resin polish using a megs mit.

I'm about to order some stuff as my car is a disgrace, after reading around a bit I've decided on the following -

Eurow - Sheepskin Wash Mitt EURW1 £6.91 £6.91
Carlack Sealant Kit CAR63 £21.70 £21.70
Menzerna Intensive Polish (PO85RD 3.02) MEC28 £6.91 £6.91
Blue Perl Microfibre Applicator Pads Pkg/2 BLU915 £3.43 £3.43
Meguiars Shampoo Plus D11101 £13.00 £13.00
Huge 38" x 28" Microfibre Drying Towel HUGD1 £8.65 £8.65
Meguiars Quik Clay kit (50g clay) G1116 £12.13 £12.13

What else do I need?
The polish is the newer version (according to Toker earlier in the thread) is it still ok to use this one without a polishing machine?
Have I got enough pads/mitts/towels etc.?

My car is a metallic grey mondeo diesel that is rarely cleaned and never polished or anything else. It flies down dirty, dusty country roads everyday and has a collection of bugs on the front to rival a museum.

To make matters worse I recently scrapped the back door when exiting a narrow multi-storey carpark. The scratches aren't too deep so I need something to try and correct it easily before going for more specialised stuff.

I'm not too bothered about an impeccable finish as anything I do will make it look amazing tbh. So the most important factor is sealing, it needs to be easy to apply and long lasting and be able to keep off all the crap (literally) from messing up the paint work any further.

Thanks

Looks okay, but you'll struggle to break Menzerna 3.02 down properly by hand, are you sure you aren't after 203S, which is the newer polish with less cut, but more effective by hand.

Also, why the Carlack Sealant? It's a pain to use/remove. You're better off with the Carlack/Collinite combination which Tim sells for £29.

I'm not a fan of Shampoo Plus either, look at the Chemical Guys shampoos instead - they're worth the extra.

Oh and... (sorry!), swap out the Megs Clay Kit for Sonus Green and Dodo Born Slippy lube :)

Cheers,

Russ

err ok :)

who's tim btw?

My car looks deeper shiny wise than that :O maybe it's the SRP+EGP combination that brings out the deepness?

Yeah but the aerodynamics from the added glossyness from the surface makes up for it =]

hahaha

Wait until i get my Rotary, should be here by the weekend. Got a few swirlies to take out and then really go for it with the #7 and #16.
