Needed some wheel cleaner advice. My OH wheels are always caked in brake dust within weeks of washing them with combination of BH Surfex HD, Autofoam or Autowash during the wash process.

I have used BH Auto Wheel in the past but it did not last very long and now realised should have blasted as much caked on stuff off then apply it to not waste the product.

Just looking for a new wheel clean regime and products.

Garage Therapy /ONE: Wheel Shampoo to deal with the bulk of the cleaning and then a post wash spraying the wheels with an iron fallout remover.

Should this be enough? I was also looking at the Autosmart Smart Wheels in a diluted format to just spray on and then come back and blast them down. Do I need this in addition to a wheel shampoo?

I will also load this in a pump sprayer to make it easier.

Are you having trouble removing crap from the wheels?

I use a large wheel brush

Bug poo is so annoying this time of year on a white car. Even after snowfoam (which literally dissolves everything else including bird poo) and then a contact wash some bits remain. Rapid retailer removed it easily in the end.

What are you using to clean the wheels? Bilt Hamber products?

I do clean my wheels when doing the car but usually during the wash stage of the panels. I will switch to doing them upfront though.

I can remove the crap but it comes back so quickly. Applying some sealant may help in this case as the wheels are like these.

I am ordering some EZ Brushes to speed up the agitation and get to the back of the barrels.

If you really want to go full hog, wheel off, full clean/decontamination, coat with something like Gyeon Q2 rim or Gtechniq C5. Will make regularly cleans a breeze.
When using a sealant, how much easier does it make wheel cleaning? I'm assuming you're still having to get in there with a fallout remover/wheel cleaner and agitate with brushes?

Autoglym shampoo and conditioner I think its called
Then autoglym wheel protector , which is a spay can

So the car wash I use left that acid stuff they put on for too long on the bonnet. This caused the misano red of my Audi A1 looked more like a light fading pink :(

I've had the entire car washed, polished and waxed and it looks brand new again. What do I need to do to maintain this shiny look?

Either keep washing once every couple of weeks and use good wax OR ceramic coat it in which case that'll seriously help it... protects from light scratches etc as well, best thing I did on mine....

Saw a couple of these now, one a few days ago. Very shiney. One things I find with silver cars is they look average in direct sunlight but once you get a bit shade or the sun starts to drop they look so much better.
