Just FYI, the waterless wash with McKees and a soft detail brush didn't really cut the mustard. It struggled to shift some of the really dried on bugs, I would definitely try a citrus all purpose cleaner.

I was trying to find this video for the chap but kept getting distracted.

what should i replace my bottle of "autoglym Bumper Care" with ?

is it really a black trim restorer or a "protector" or what ?

i could replace with Car Pro Pearl, or better still. Gtechniq C4

Only one I had experience with was AutoFinesse Revive which worked well a few years back on a mini's faded plastic arches if that helps :)

Well that was predictable. The 2 minutes of rain yesterday didn’t just bring sand, but larger grit. Having cleaned it for a day out today I shan’t bother for a while :p
To be honest the combination of dust and pollen is the reason I no longer bother with full on car cleaning anymore.

Once a year I'll aim to go over with a clay mitt and polish with SRP then put a coat of carnauba on. After that it is just wash with any old shampoo and dry with something like Wax It Wet or similar.

If you enjoy the process then there are far worse hobbies to have but I got to the point where I resented the time spent the first time the wind blew or we had a drop of rain.

people, my lovely snow foam attachment now has a leak from the part where it connects to the karcher
now, the bottle is fine but how can i just buy the connector bit or even what is it called? is it even worth it to buy or just get a new bottle from ali or amazon?

Also to make it even more confusing we have 2 parkside brand / lidl jet wash accessories how can i attach them to my karcher aswell? ive seen converters where you can use karcher attachment on a parkside jet but not the other way round

So I washed my car today with some turtle wax car wash that has wax built in. After letting it dry I wanted to polish it with autoglym polish resin.

I started on the bonnet and after doing a third of it noticed the cloth was getting pink :

Is this normal? Did I use too much product on the cloth? The car looks fine by the way

Some nice savings to be had on Meguiars and Autoglym stuff on Amazon right now in the Prime deals.

I ordered a bottle of Autoglym - Fast Glass and Autoglym - Tyre Gel.

Been using Tesco’s cheap glass cleaner which gave me smudgy/smeary windows.

£6 for the Tyre Gel is a bargain, this type of product goes a long way and in rotation will last a couple of years.
