Looking to place an order with CYC very soon - so far I have some Glaco 99 (a fiver cheaper than Amazon, so I am already quids in) and some Rinseless Wash to dilute and use on the glass.

I have just reminded myself I bought a Silverline polisher about 10 years ago:

Are these the way of the dinosaurs now? Or could I grab some pads and do a quick once over the car? It has just had Ultra Deep Shine on it for the last few years, so it needs a good clay and a proper light cutting polish I think.

Doesn't look like it has a random orbital movement

It'll be fine, but if you're looking to do a decent single stage, then a random orbital + scholl S20 black + spyder blue pad is a great place to start.

It's what I used last year and it was great. Of course, it won't remove orange peel, nor any deeper scratches, but it's still very good

Thanks --- I am looking to avoid ignorance induced damage versus get perfection. You reckon what I have is no good then? I don't think I used it more than once. It definitely isn't a random orbital.

It'll be fine, but using a standard rotational sander/polisher, you're at higher risk of things like tiger stripes and excessive heat build up

Did my vehicles today - pressure wash with several cleaning products in use - removed crazy amounts of grime from salt and dust - once dried there was still a film of it on there :( went over again and it is mostly gone now - just crazy with all the salting, etc. lately. Can't imagine what it is doing to the underneath :(

Thinking of picking up a “Stubby Gun” for the pressure washer… Potentially looking at the Autobrite one from Halfords.

Going to buy a new hose which is long enough to circle the car since finding it a chore to work around the car with my current pressure washer setup, the hose is lacking length.

I got a replacement from https://www.directhoses.net/ - I haven't used it in anger yet but softer than the hard plastic one I had before. They do stubby guns too.

Gave the Focuseseseses a clean inside and out over the weekend, both were grubby from a winter of use. All undone by today's sahara rain but at least the salt is off them. Trim and plastics coated, boot mat was looking a bit worse for wear but AG rubber and vinyl care brought it back nicely.

Where did you manage to get hold of a brand-new first gen Focus?

Gave my wife’s car the quickest wash ever. Can’t beat a good sealant meaning the dirt glides off and AG pure shampoo that leaves the paint lovely and clean. Rinsed the dust off mine too. Haven’t got enough time to do a proper clean, so will leave the paint air dry.

Did the same on the E43. Quick blast with BH and then a rapid AG Shampoo. I then dried it with a bit of rapid ceramic sprayed on as it's not had any protection since October. Looks decent for an hour's work!

Where did that white dusty rain come from! My car looks filthy lol.

I noticed in a car park today there was only 2 types of cars there - those caked with a film of dust and salt stains with an especially dark layer of crud on the back bumper/lower tailgate and those pristine from just being washed and nothing in between LOL.
