Quick wash today - Finished/Sealed with a hidden gem product IMO… Car Plan Super Gloss. Usually can be had for £4/5 per bottle when on offer.

Gives such a slick, water repellent finish with a somewhat darkening of the paint colour.

so just purchased some of the bilt hamber touchless and was working out my PIR and with a litre in the foam gun I got roughly 11 litre in the bucket after the test meaning a PIR of 4% i need to use 440ml of touchless. does that sound high its certaily more than i would use on other Pre washes. obviouslyt what i dont use i will save into a spray bottle to use later doubt i will use the entire litre on my car.

I got about the same recently and realised I only need to use half of the bottle on the lance.

Yeah, I've had 500ml sitting in my spray bottle for about 6 months now... probably should've decanted it as it's stained everything yellow :o

BH Surfex HD, i know these are supposed to be amazing APCs
but is it suitable for cleaning wax/polish off from trim, interior and exterior plastics ?

if it is, then saves me buying two things :)

i need some more APC anyway, mines nearly out (cheap crap)

I’ve found it’s generally good for residue of all kinds if you leave it to soak for a bit.

I use a foaming sprayer so it clings to the surface I’m spraying onto a bit better.

Did a great job on leather at 10%

10% on leather? That's extremely strong! You have to be careful with Surfex HD, it's extremely potent stuff. 1 to 2% is the dilution you want for interior. 5% to 10% for exterior such as door shuts and trim, 15% to 20% for tyres.

Need something with solvent in, panel wipe or something like carpro eraser. Even better is to mask off using 3M 3434 blue tape to prevent it.

APC should never be used on leather.

Mine is ~600ml, so sounds fine to me.

I just called bilt hamber and they advised not to use Surfex HD on leather. They haven't seen any damage using it, but noted that APCs, as you mention, can cause damage, hence worth using a proper leather cleaner :-)

Good shout that - I would never have questioned it until my leather fell apart ;-)

Time to get more stuff :D
