I know this has been mentioned in other threads here and there, but I thought I'd make one anyway.

I cannot believe what an idiot this guy is, as Souness said, he's everything wrong with the modern footballer. A disgrace.

Carlos Tevez could face more disciplinary action from Manchester City after failing to report for training.

The striker missed training on Wednesday after he returned to Argentina without permission from the club.

The wantaway striker flew out to his homeland on Tuesday after choosing not to contest a fine of two weeks' wages given to him by City for misconduct during the UEFA Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich on September 27th.

The 27-year-old was accused by manager Roberto Mancini of refusing to come on as a substitute during the second half of the 2-0 loss at the Allianz Arena, but Tevez denied the allegation and blamed a misunderstanding, insisting he had merely refused to warm up - something he felt unnecessary as he had already done so.

As Phil Mcnulty said - "PFA chief Gordon Taylor tells BBC Carlos Tevez is "in danger of burning his bridges" with Man City. A genuine masterpiece of understatement." :p

I hope Man City use all that money they have and take everything he has away from him.

As I said, he wants to be sacked and I think city should just do it but immediately sue him and his manager/agent for loss of money since they paid upfront so much money when they signed him and his contract.

What an idiot and disgrace.

How much do you think they'd get back? the merc was arguably their best and most productive player last season firing City into the champions league with the joint highest premiership goal tally.

I think Tevez must be really stupid, either listening to that agent of his or his simple behaviour.

Manchester City has actually arrived, has he not noticed that they are top of the league, in a good position in the champions league and firing on all cylinders? They can and probably will dominate English or European football for the next few years and he can be a part of that. He is 27 years old, he has may be 5 years at his peak at best and instead of making the most of it, he wants to go back to Argentina? Yes being away from his wife is hard, boo hoo, I am sure the £250,000 a week help a bit. Buy a private jet and go back every week or something. Or just suck it up for a few years and win a load of medals then go home.

Instead he is behaving like some kid who lost his toy.

Yeah, he went home, after the club seemingly vindictively decided he was the ONLY player not allowed to go home over the international break.

He's not getting games, the manager won't play him, he wants out, why should he sit on the bench receiving a pay check for 3 years rather than leave? Wouldn't you feel rather aggrieved when your manager accuses you of something, on TV, lies, the club decide to fine you for something else, then the manager refuses to let you go home when everyone else is allowed to?

Yes, he shouldn't have gone home anyway, it would look better for him if he was the good guy and he let the club be the bad guys who wouldn't let him visit his family even though everyone else was allowed to.

End of the day though, he's rich, he doesn't need the money, the club are just making his life crappy, what difference does it make to Tevez at this point?

If I was there, they wouldn't play me, they wanted me to rot in the reserves, I assumed I was getting a chance to go home because everyone else was and he's been allowed to go home in all similar situations, I'd be a bit miffed if they tried to stop me.

Raymond, he also wouldn't win any medals if he didn't get games ;) What is the point of staying at a club, possibly still being forced to train on his own(not sure if he still is or not), being refused the same treatment as everyone else, not getting games and missing probably his 3 years of football....... just because he can get paid a lot to do nothing at City?

AS for buying a jet and going back every week, thats just the point, City refused to give him permission to go, while everyone else has gone off on international leave.

DM, you forgot that Mancinni gave him an olive branch only last week and said if he apologises he will be welcome back in the frame.

He was told to stay and get fit so he can either play or be sold at full fitness. If we banned him and told him to go back to Argie he would come out trying to sue city for leaving him unfit etc.
He had a special plan made to get him back to fitness and he has thrown it back in City's face who are trying to help him in every way.

What did Mancini lie about? and the club has charged him with what he did effectively refusing to play and so breaching his contract.

All the rubbish about going home, last week he said his family is in England and they are happy so another prem club would be ok. Now he wants to fly back so that he can see his family. Just more nonsense by the day.

Anyway i agree with everything that has been said and i have been saying i didn't like him for a while i think if you look back at some of my older posts. What he has done seems to have had a positive effect on the team so carry on Tev :p

EDIT: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11679/7300810/Tevez-tried-to-reach-Mancini
All forgiven then Carlos, at least you made some effort.

The Argy national manager has already stated that when he turned up to the last lot of internationals he was overweight and unfit. As said above, he needs to get back to >90% fitness and lose the weight for any club to gamble >25mill on him. The guy is a liability that is so highly priced now the only clubs that could afford him aren't going to take the risk. He has made this mess and let his ego stop him from sorting it out by apologising.

No he's still bitter about Mark Hughes getting the sack therefore anything Mancini does is wrong and therefore anything Tevez does is right. Understanding DM is way easier when you work out whether a player or manager appears on the 'loves' or 'hates' list, the former cannot do anything wrong, the latter cannot do anything right - simples! :p

Well Im glad that Tevez is being as much a tool at another club as he was at Utd, proves even more that Fergie was right in getting rid of him/ not signing him permanently

I totally support his actions for one simple reason he's made Gordon Taylor look like the utter fool that he actually is. Football would be a better place without all the hangers on be they agents the FA or the PFA!

Realistically though what a muppet, will either land up rotting in their reserves or playing for some thrid rate pile of crap side in Russia.

I hope Man City hold on to him and let him rot for the remainder of his contract.
Money is no object to either the player or the club, it would serve as a warning to other players that perhaps you cannot dictate your playing terms no matter who you are.

He would lose probably his best 3 years of his playing career. Go City!

Seen it all. DM is the ultimate WUM. Trying to defend Carlos Tevez. Amazing.

You are Adrian Durham aren't you? There's no need to spout your nonsense here though as you can't make money from irate listeners phoning in

I seem to remember Tevex saying yonks ago that he wants to retire at 27. Probably all part of his plan.

Surely he is completely toxic in europe now? I can't see anyone outside of Argentina wanting him in their side, and even then he'd probably **** them off too. I'm sure there's more than one side to this story, but Fergie must be laughing into his porridge every morning..

LOLTevez and lol at City for taking such a muppet on board...sure hes a great player but god almighty what an absolute tool he is for the way hes conducting himself.

Best thing City can do is get rid of him asap...either fire him, terminate his contract or sell him for whatever they can get for him.

LOLTevez and lol at City for taking such a muppet on board...

Yeah, lol at us for getting the overall top league scorer the last 2 seasons, helping us win the FA Cup and get automatic CL group qualification. LOL!!!

The guy is a muppet. But anyone thinking City made the wrong choice in hiring his services better watch their hands on those straws. Even his little fallout now isn't stopping us having the 4th best start to a top flight (and I don't mean since football started in 1992) season ever. Little to laugh at City with this one I'm afraid. We had him when we needed him, and unlike some clubs about to lose their star man we've made ample provisions to flourish without him. Without the benefit of hindsight we really couldn't have done it much better.
