The Carlos Tevez saga - what a tool

BBC reporting that he has stayed in Argentina and will not return to training.... He must be trying to get sacked.

just seen that, crazy that he has the balls to do it tbh. Would love to know what is actually going on, or if he really does have big fish small pond syndrome.

What does he have to gain from staying away? can't Man City just continually fine him until his contract is out?

I read somewhere that Man City could sue him for part / all transfer fee they paid if he doesn't commit...

I have also said some reports he s a medical reason he is not there

The absolute ****. Hes claiming that hes depressed now and away on medical leave. That boy deserves to be shot. I genuinely hope he never plays football again.

I'm amazed mancini is managing to keep the rest of the team happy when they can see the top paid player behaving like a complete **** and getting away with it. He is disrespecting city, the fans and all his team mates.

Now he says his doctor isn't letting him return to training due to stress.

The sooner this idiot is gone from football the better.

Real shame because he is still young and could be rated as one of the best players in the game. What a waste of talent.

The sheikh should just hire someone to assassinate him. It would be a hugely insignificant amount of money for them and would solve the problem entirely.

It's not like the Arab lot are strangers to violence, torture and what have you.

+1

Seriously, how much would it cost to make sure that he never leaves Argentina?
:p

We will just wait this out and keep fining him until he returns, unless he sorts himself a deal with Corinthians etc say at 15m and he has to pay 10m himself to give a "Market value" transfer fee to us, although at 25m he is criminally undersold but its irrelevant of the money now.

It's got to the stage where £25m isn't a bargain for Tevez, he's a good footballer but he's not worth £25m to normal clubs, the hassle, the disruption, and the fact he will just stop showing up when he can't be bothered, and finally you yourself can't sell him on either as he's basically unsellable. It's interesting where he will end up, what club has no values etc.

He's at the only club in the world where this somehow isn't affecting the team as they have that much cash and that many players he is insignificant. I can only really think of Real Madrid where he could act this way, and that's only because they're already a joke club

Corinthians or Boca.

He is worth the money to them because the amount he will bring in sponsorship, marketing etc. He will show up every day and probably score hundreds of goals.

To teams in europe he is worth nothing.

Playing Devils Advocate for a moment. He could actually suffer from depression and all the money in the world may not help.

Or he could just be acting like a moron.

Personally im fed up with Man City now, it was novel at first and for their fans fair play to them, they have had to deal with a lot of 'poop' over the years so I dont begrudge them success or anything.

However as a football fan, I want to see Tevez playing and playing somewhere that he can be happy. The problem is that Man City can ruin the peak years of his career by forcing him to sit out his contract and not worry.... that is my main problem with everything atm and I dont think Tevez will be the last player associated with that team who does this or something similar.

As I said, its novel atm, players want to be part of the first Man City to win this, that, or the other for x amount of years... and in the main, the current subs/backups are English who generally just plug on with it, happy with 1 start in 3 or 4 and 30mins in the other games. BUT when the backups become players like Yaya Toure or Dzeko or AN Other.. then the problems will begin. I know that is a different tangent to why Tevez has done what he has, but once you get mardy foreigners in thinking they are the billy bigs' and then because of the cash City buy another 3 or 4 stars in, those that fall down the pecking order wont be as smiley as they are at the beginning.

And if it happens again, who is to say that Aguero wont be in Tevez situation in 2/3 years time... if City sign Neymar, Ganso....Messi.... Higuain...etc etc What if Aguero at his peak of 27 is all of a sudden 4th or 5th choice, because thats the power the cash at City will do/become. And then we have a player like Aguero who gets moody, goes home under stress... its all ifs and buts, however I can see this just being the precedent.

I think you are giving Tevez way too much credit here. He was not 4th or 5th choice until he started behaving like a complete **** to the club. He is getting paid a stupid amount of money and he still cannot be bothered to turn up.

He is to blame for the entire saga. How much did Man Utd get for Tevez when he left to join city? Nothing, so why didn't he bugger off back to Argentina then. Why did he sign a new contract in the UK.

I have no sympathy at all for him and I would say that in general society depression is used as an excuse for just being miserable because you have made a hash of your life. There are plenty of people that genuinely have depression but I massively doubt Tevez is amongst them.

Hes a footballer at the top of his game who knows that clubs are permanently bent over their best players knees ready to get ******. I think it might have been sepp blatter that compared football contracts to slavery. They are the complete opposite. Get paid ridiculous wages and if you can't be bothered then just sack it in.

Having just watched him all laughs and smiles playing golf on skysports news, i feel very sorry for the fella.

He's exposed himself as a complete and utter liar.

Personaly i have no interest in this, i just find it extremely sad the depression cards being used. From personal experience what i saw in that clip on tv just doesn't happen if you truely are.

City should play hardball all the way, tevez wants to play with fire, he deserves to be held to account.

i was quite disappointed when Fergie let him go as i thought he was a good player for us, but since moving to City he's changed my mind! He wanted away last year and then signed a new improved contract to get more money saying he would stay and then instantly started again advising he wants away from the club.
It was rumered in the paper that City would get about £19mil in compensation from Tevez is they went down the legal route against him. Best thing for them to do is let him go for whatever money cortithians were offering. Him still being at city must be affecting the morale at the club. (although being a utd fan this isnt a bad thing;)

He has brought this on himself, i am sorry but you "defending" him is wrong.

He is ruining his peak years by making himself unavailable to any club in Europe. We are not begrudging him a move to Inter say and forcing him to go Boca or nowherere. He is the one making excuses all the time for why he doesnt want to go anywhere but back to Argentina/Brazil.

I will put my future mortgage on Aguero not doing what Tevez is, His family are settled in Manchester and have lived with him since day 1, he is attempting to learn English to fit in like Zaba did. Infact he has started a game at City that if you don't speak English you get fined!

I am sorry but anyone who is giving any sympathy to Tevez is shocking. He has done nothing but ruin himself and attempt to ruin the club. Fortunatly we have people like Khaldoon and the Sheikh who wont let him win.

Inter are after him on the cheap apparently.

Fingers crossed City price him out of the market and make him suffer for his behaviour, too depressed/stressed to kick a ball but perfectly fine for a round of golf.

Sorry chap but there is so much wrong with this post, its clear you just don't like City and have very little idea of Tevez's turbulent time at the club. He's 4th choice because he made it so, its not the clubs fault.
