Seems like MSI dropped their MSRP to $950 permanently in the US, with the Alienware also in this region there's a change ASUS will also come to the $1000/£1000 region.

This is Asus we're talking about, you've got sod all chance of them dropping anytime soon! Hell, the AW pricing is the only reason they aren't charging £1499 for it!!!

You'd obviously expect an ASUS premium but typically not 30% extra, more like 10% or so.

Like I said, this is about as generous as they're gonna be outside of sales/deals etc. They feel like they're 'special'

Most reviews say the anti-glossy finish does a good job, this is the only concern I have now.
