Meh, I paid a lot of attention to him, because he paid a lot to me. It was unexpected and rather nice, why is that a bad thing?

All this crazy reactive girly stuff is being kept well away from his presence, most of us girls do it but don't often expose it to you lot (men) - so now you know :) I'm actually far more controlled than most of my female mates, believe it or not!

Now can we get on with the protocol geekery?

What you say is appreciated - but what you and what plenty of other (well-meaning) people don't seem to get is that yes, I could impress someone with my wit fairly quickly, and score a boyfriend. But while I'm not shallow in terms of looks, it does take a certain kind of person to interest me - in character, manner, confidence - and while I might not /need/ to be single for long, I probably will be, unless I manage to ensnare the ones that catch my interest, or magically happen upon that someone who bowls me over with his wit, charm and comfort in his own skin...
...if only I could just spot them across the road.
 
I'm not a Bristol native so I couldn't really comment..! Generally I don't pull in clubs, before it was because I was too taken or shy - nowadays it's by choice; I don't tend to fancy the lairy cookie-cutter men in Next shirts, stonewashed jeans and brown shoes...

...Mind you, I'm letting this out here so that I don't do it in real life or bombard the poor guy with communication - it's /my/ crazy, it's probably hormonal, and I'm not trying to justify it at all - it actually /annoys/ me how I go a bit mental with stuff like this because I'm usually the sensible logical one! Not that anyone here would believe that, hee...
